Attachment-based Counselling in East London
No one wants to feel like they're just getting by in their relationship. You might miss how things used to be between you. Maybe you feel distant, even when you're together. Conversations have become tense, shallow, or purely practical. Arguments circle back to the same unresolved issues. Or you find yourselves avoiding certain topics altogether, keeping the peace even as it costs you closeness. Perhaps you're facing betrayal, sexual difficulties, ongoing conflict, major life changes, or growing differences in values. Whatever you're navigating, we can work together to make sense of it.

I help creatives and professionals struggling with career and self-esteem related issues. I’m familiar with these issues helping clients work through and overcome them.

I work with people who lose themselves, who take care of everyone, except themselves. They struggle to say no to others. They cannot say yes to themselves. This often show up as people-pleasing, burnout or addiction. And I see it among those who have experienced trauma, or are LGBT+ - people who have had to hide who they really are.

Hi! I am Foram. I am primarily influenced by the belief that every human is whole, complete and powerful in every moment. At times External situations or internal noises prevent people from being in touch with their true selves. The gift of therapy, as Yalom names it, is a personal and sacred journey people may choose at different stages of their lives for different reasons. Sometimes the bravest step is asking for help, and it stikes me that this step alone can mark a significant milestone in the psychological growth of many of my clients. Since 2015, I have worked as a therapist in NHS primary and secondary care settings, as well as the private sectors in London and across the UK. This has given me the privilege to work with people of different paths of life and struggles and stress from personal life and work demands.

Hello, I'm Ayesha — a BACP-registered integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, offering in-person therapy in East London (Bethnal Green), and online therapy across the UK.
I work primarily with people from the Global Majority, navigating grief, childhood trauma, relational wounds, and the psychological weight of growing up between cultures. My practice is grounded in the understanding that our inner lives are shaped not just by personal history but by the cultural inheritances, community expectations, and systemic experiences we carry — often without language for them.

I completely understand that starting therapy can be overwhelming. Past experiences of disappointment or emotional hurt can make it difficult to feel secure in relationships or confident in expressing your needs. You may find yourself avoiding closeness, second-guessing decisions, or worrying about disapproval from others.
Therapy offers a space to explore these patterns with care and at a pace that feels manageable. Over time, we can work towards greater self-understanding, emotional safety, and confidence in relating to others. I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you are met as you are.

The treatment types I use are integrative (a range of different approaches to suit the individual client), person centred, attachment-based, humanistic, existential.
My approach is both integrative and existential. I acknowledge what it means to be human and the inevitable difficulties and discomforts. I work with clients on how, despite these, we may carve out our unique paths to deeper personal meaning, purpose, acceptance and peace. It is my belief that there is the ability within all of us to identify and to transcend our childhood and societal conditioning and patterns. These hold us back from more joy, ease, and inspiration. My aim is support my clients in becoming more familiar with the wise, mature and grounded parts of themselves rather than being ruled by the reactive inner child.

As a Body Psychotherapist, I support people who're feeling lost or stuck in life to reconnect with their deep inner resources, enabling them to grow, change and find new solutions to life's challenges.
I tend to do committed, long term work with people, aiming to address problems at a core, existential level - supporting a lasting transformation of Mind, Body, Heart and Soul.
This includes unlocking your capacity for more aliveness, creativity, spontanaeity and the discovery of meaningful work - and the ability to enter into a mature loving relationship. My work also includes space for psychospiritual and ecological awareness.

You might appear capable to others, yet inside feel overwhelmed, anxious, or uncertain about yourself. Perhaps something in life no longer fits, or you're caught in familiar patterns you can't quite change. Many people come to therapy not because something has happened, but because something has stopped feeling right.
I offer a grounded space where you don't need to perform or arrive with the right thoughts or words. Drawing from psychodynamic, person-centred and solution-focused approaches, you can find a safe space to explore what feels heavy or stuck, at your pace and work toward more clarity and a stronger sense of self.

Throughout my life, I have had numerous encounters and experiences that have shaped my understanding of the human condition and ignited my desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. These encounters, combined with my innate empathy and compassion, have fostered my deep interest in counselling. They have taught me that people seek support not only when they are in crisis, but also when they are trying to make sense of their identity, relationships, and emotional world. This understanding forms the foundation of the work I do and the clients I feel most called to support.
