We believe that everyone is unique and therefore is dealt with in a way that best caters to his or her individual needs. We work with you by exploring your world to see how you engage with your life and the people around you. Along the journey, we will explore your past, look at your present and see how you perceive the future. We will help you become more aware of your values, beliefs and limitations and help you connect and improve your relationship with yourself. This process may be challenging, yet extremely rewarding as we access the changes you want to make towards living the life that you want to live.

You might be thinking of having therapy. But what is it? Can it help me? If you are going through a challenging time, or perhaps reached a transitional phase in your life, undergoing a change in your relationship or looking to make a change in your life, perhaps long forgotten things are making an appearance and you'd like to understand why, or simply looking for growth and change, looking for a roadmap to your life - then therapy can help.

Life often presents challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, trapped in unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, and struggling with emotions that seem too intense to manage. These issues can impact our day-to-day life, relationships, and overall well-being, leading to symptoms like anxiety, panic, depression, or a sense of hopelessness. I specialise in supporting individuals through anxiety (including generalised anxiety, OCD, panic, and PTSD), depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. Together, we can work towards meaningful change and emotional balance.

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and out of balance. Whether you're navigating relationship difficulties, struggling with work place stress, unresolved trauma, feeling lost or stuck, or facing a major life transition which is difficult to come to terms with, you do not have to figure it out alone. Maybe you can't make sense of things, don’t feel listened to or understood, or you are concerned about what is happening in the world today. All these, and other experiences, can make life feel far more challenging than you'd like and you’re looking for something different, whether that be an understanding, acceptance or change.

I specialise in anxiety, (including OCD), perinatal mental health, and trauma leading to attachment/relationship struggles. You might find yourself stuck in a loop of anxiety, or have thoughts that you feel too embarrassed to share. Maybe you have to force yourself out of bed, only to have another day that’s miserable. You might feel you’ve reached a stagnant point in life, feel anxious in your relationships, or maybe you’re going through huge change, like a break up or having a baby. Many people reach out to me to start therapy facing these problems. My aim is that you leave therapy feeling in control, happier, and understood

The people I work with often come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected - from themselves, from others, or from a sense of purpose or ease. Many are navigating stress, anxiety, low mood, burnout, or past trauma. Others are struggling with identity or relationship difficulties, including issues around confidence, shame, sexuality, sex or intimacy. Clients usually want a space where they can make sense of what’s going on without fear of judgment or pressure to “perform” emotionally. They want to feel more grounded and connected - to themselves and others, and that starts with feeling seen, heard and understood.

You may appear to be coping on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or the challenges of being a neurodivergent adult. Many of my clients tell me they feel they should be coping, yet feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure why they're struggling. I offer a confidential, thoughtful space to make sense of the patterns shaping these experiences, helping you understand yourself more deeply, build more fulfilling relationships, and create lasting emotional change.

Life is precious. You want to live fully—to love deeply, pursue meaningful work, create, contribute, and feel at home in yourself. Yet something keeps getting in the way. You may struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, people-pleasing, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, procrastination, or a persistent sense that you're somehow not enough. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable and successful on the outside, yet internally feel stuck in painful patterns. They long to stop abandoning themselves in order to belong and create a more authentic, fulfilling life.

Divorce Counsellors
How does therapy for people affected by a divorce work?
Individuals may feel a number of emotions following a divorce, such as shock, guilt, grief, anger, and fear. Therapists offer a non-judgmental space for individuals to talk about what they’ve experienced and process their emotions. Therapists will help clients develop coping strategies. They can also help a client rebuild their sense of self and self-worth and talk about what a happier future might look like.

What’s the most common type of therapy following a divorce?
There are several types of therapy that may be useful for divorce, including cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment, solution-focused brief, and mindfulness-based therapies. Many therapy types are talk-therapy based, which is typically the most popular option for individuals dealing with divorce. Cognitive behavioural therapy is a widely-used talk therapy, however, there’s no specific therapy type that’s designed to help people with divorce, and different types will work depending on the person.

When should an individual seek help due to a divorce?
When the feelings of a divorced individual, or an individual going through the process of divorce, begin to disrupt healthy daily functioning, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not performing at work due to problems with anxiety or motivation, if they’re no longer seeing friends due to feelings of shame, or if they’re not properly taking care of themselves as a result of depression, speaking to a professional could help.

How do you encourage someone to go to therapy due to a divorce?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the individual while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Sharing how the individual appears to be suffering, and what effects it has on them or on their children, should be done with compassion and empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
