Most people want to feel good within themselves and within their lives. I don’t think this is too much to ask! If obstacles have previously prevented this, it does not mean the future need be the same. Change is always possible and often we need a helping hand. I am passionate about collaboration as the most empowering route on a therapeutic journey. You have the strength and the answers and together we can make sense of any hurt, obstacle or fear.

Therapy can be more than just a space to discuss difficulties, it can be a place of learning, healing, playing and growing. It can be a place where you can process the past, so that you're able to move forward into the life that you want to create for yourself.

I find that most clients are struggling because they lack coping strategies to manage distress, but also often because they are out of touch with what is important to them, their values, their strengths, their preferred life directions, and there are barriers such as anxiety, fear and/or emotional discomfort which lead to avoidance and other unhelpful behaviours. In turn, these factors thwart their goals and increase distress. Clients want reduced distress and increased pleasure and engagement with a life in which they can feel confident and empowered.

Your emotional well-being matters. Don't let past experiences or relationship challenges overshadow your present. By identifying and resolving unhelpful coping mechanisms, you can make meaningful changes. Our past shapes our perception of ourselves, the world, and relationships. We may get stuck in difficult memories and emotions we want to forget. Negative thinking and maladaptive coping can impact our daily lives. These experiences significantly influence how we handle stress. But remember, your past doesn't define you. Don't let unwanted memories hold you back. Embrace the opportunity for positive change.

Life at times can be challenging, people can often feel isolated and stuck in their struggles, confused about what to do to change the things in life that are troubling them. Reaching out can be hard, trusting others can feel even more difficult. It's at these times that therapy can make a difference. I am a sex-positive, kink-knowledgeable psychotherapist and am familiar working with a range of relationship models and gender dynamics. I work with people from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, including individuals from straight, queer, poly and kink communities, sex workers, and people who identify across the gender spectrum.

Are you living with higher levels of anxiety than those around you would’ve guessed? Pouring over moves you make, wishing you said or did things differently? Are you worrying at nighttime, despite all your best efforts not to? When our internal alarm system gets activated and the button to turn it off seems to have gone missing, it has a way of taking over every area of our life. I'm guessing that if you're reading this you've probably tried many ways to control the way you're feeling. It can be a frustrating experience not to gain control over it, perhaps especially so, if you’re used to succeed in other areas of your life.

I work using a variety of therapy models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and person-centred approaches. We will work together to form a safe space in which we can explore your issues and try to help you find a way out of your current difficulties. I view ourselves as constant works-in-progress and understand that sometimes we become stuck in life and unable to find ways forwards. We will work together to discover which approach or approaches best suit you in order to help you become unstuck from your current situation.

The most powerful relationship you will ever have is the relationship with yourself. I work on the principle that self-knowledge can help to improve many aspects of one’s life and that self-discovery can lead to a deeper sense identity and self-acceptance. My approach to therapy as a result a pragmatic one; essentially I meet my clients where they are emotionally, by working at their pace and focusing and exploring their whole way of being, looking at the ways which they have learned to relate to themselves and others and how they have learned to respond to different situations in life.

I am an accredited Clinical Psychologist working in private practice and the NHS. I support clients seeking help with a range of difficulties. I believe that therapy is often about helping people to re-integrate parts of themselves that have become alienated, overwhelming or maligned. A state of ‘wellbeing’ is not an absence of pain or difficulty, but a state in which all of our experience can be held and understood. This is both an internal but also a deeply social process, as humans make meaning in relationship with others and their community.

I can imagine, given that you are here, there may be something in your life that is causing you discomfort. Welcome, and well done for taking the first step towards getting some support. Some people seek out therapy because they have felt depressed, anxious or angry for a long time; others may want help for relationship difficulties, self-destructive habits or a chronic illness that is interfering with their emotional or physical well-being. Sometimes, unexpected changes or circumstances also bring people into therapy - for example, going through a divorce, feeling overwhelmed by a new job, or grieving the loss of a family member.

We get a sense of ourselves in the context of our relationships in childhood, and as we find our way in life, we can get trapped in dysfunctional patterns. The aim is to find a compassionate inner connection that would free us from these patterns in therapy. Openness and commitment are important qualities in making the most out of it. The process will get challenging from time to time, as life does as well. The important thing here is to build a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship that would enable us to work through these challenges in a relational way as we transform ourselves and our lives based on our desires.
