I see anxiety and doubt not as symptoms to remove or feelings to push past, but as signals worth paying attention to.
Do you feel stuck, lost or like you're living on autopilot – things look fine on the outside, but inside, something feels off? Maybe you're functioning, but not fulfilled. Or you've been wearing a mask for so long, you're not sure who's underneath. It's not a crisis, but you're wondering: is this really it? If this sounds familiar, you're not alone. I work with people who are quietly questioning their identity, career, relationships or purpose – often after years of life looking good from the outside. Together, we'll make sense of what's happening, find clarity about what you want, and work toward a life that feels genuinely yours.

Clinically expert in a range of talking therapies and modalities for conditions such as stress, anxiety depression, mental health, loss, trauma.
‘We all need someone to talk to some of the time’ and across the multi-dimensional layers of personality and global connectedness, to be human means we will be faced with situations and events during our lifetime that we believe a hundred percent, we will have little or no chance of sorting out or finding solutions to. The truism is there are always solutions, some more easily achievable and likeable, others less so. Nonetheless these too are solutions and place ALL at the doorway of all possibility. The wisdom then is to stand in the doorway to commence the healing transformations of finding answers and pathways towards resolution.

From a working-class background, I, Julie (she/them) have 33 years of experience as a psychotherapist, supervisor & counselling tutor. Starting with an initial assessment, where I work from an anti oppressive stance. I want to understand how best to support you psychologically and not presume anything about you. With my EMDR training, a Master's in Counselling & Postgraduate Cert in Gestalt Psychotherapy, I believe in the power of exploring both emotions, thoughts and bodily experiences equally in the 'here-and-now'. I run therapy groups and with individuals. Let's work together to explore what you want for your life.

You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, or a loss of meaning feeling overwhelmed and unsure how to move forward.
Trauma does not only live in memory; it lives in the nervous system and body. It shapes how we experience the world. Alongside talking therapy, I work somatically, supporting nervous system regulation helping you understand how experiences are held physically and emotionally. I integrate creativity, allowing processing and expression beyond words.

Maybe it’s stress that won’t let up, anxiety that has made the world feel smaller or a loss that has changed the shape of things.
My approach is integrative, working with your whole self - mind, body and nervous system together. Stress and anxiety don’t only live in our thoughts; they settle in the body too. So alongside talking therapy I draw gently on body-based, somatic practices, helping you release what you’ve been holding rather than only thinking your way through it.
