Welcome. As an experienced Psychotherapist I deal with a vast amount of issues. Are you stressed with your home and/or work problems and find just everyday functioning really difficult. Do you think you should be able to cope? If you've ever wondered whether therapy is "for you", you're not alone. Many people sit with this question for a very long time before deciding to reaching out. Signs that therapy might be helpful - you're overwhelmed or stuck. You're constantly anxious, overthinking everything, your usual ways of coping don't seem to be working anymore. You really don't need to hit 'rock bottom' to start therapy.

As a result, difficulties like infidelity, jealousy, envy, loneliness, repeating conflicts - these can cut to the core of who we are.
I am not interested in 'analysing' you or filling our time with 'therapy speak' - I prefer to relate to you person to person, in direct terms. We'll start by understanding your problems from your point of view, how you experience them. I have specialist knowledge of the psychology of love, connection, and relationships, which we can make use of in our work.

Hiya, I’m Lennie. I work with teenagers, young adults, and the grown-ups they’ve become. The ones who never quite fit the mould and are tired of pretending they do. I help teens carve out their identity in a world full of labels while supporting the parents and professionals navigating the chaos with them. Life with the people you care about should be something you enjoy, not just survive. Let’s face it, keeping your head down and pretending everything’s fine won’t get you anywhere. Together, we’ll tackle what you’ve been avoiding, rewrite the rules to suit you, rebuild your confidence, and create a life that finally fits.

I believe that everyone has the potential to be the best version of themselves by working through any difficulties they might be facing. I believe you are the expert of your life. Therapy is about exploring uncomfortable feelings and reflecting on these and how it might be shaping your behavioural patterns or ways of relating to others for you to understand yourself on a deeper level and get to the person you want to be. I believe our life experiences shape who we are and can have a negative impact on us at times, I hope to facilitate your growth and changes.

We all experience difficult times in our lives, suffering anxiety, depression, stress, anger, relationship issues, grief, bereavement, physical illness, emotional/physical abuse, low mood, and low motivation, to name just a few of the reasons people come to therapy. At times we will feel like we don’t want to ‘burden’ people with how we feel so we try to push through and carry on, we try to pretend all is ok, we try and cope by putting on a smile and a brave face, often we simply find we are unable to move forward and feel stuck.

I am a very experienced and professional therapist with over twelve thousand client contact hours behind me in individual, couples and group work. I feel my experience coupled with my life experiences makes me the person and the therapist I am today. My training in the person-centred approach (three years) and in Transactional Analysis (seven years) together with continuing professional and personal development and supervision give me a strong theoretical and experiential focus to bring to my client work. I work very much in a relational way (research indicates that the therapeutic relationship is key to positive therapy outcomes)

Unheard, misunderstood, confused, unsure, lost, desperate, feeling stuck, wanting to feel 'normal'. Any of these reasons and more can lead us to seek Counselling. I have been a therapist for 13 years, and practice in a Person-Centred way. What this means is, I truly believe when someone comes to see me they want to be listened to, not told it will be OK, or try this and do that. You have probably tried those things and still feel the same. What's needed is someone with the skill to help you navigate your feelings on a deeper level, to give you greater understanding of how you have come to feel the way you do.

I believe that we all need a safe space to talk about what we are going through at particular points in our lives. I help people strive to make sense of often complex issues because developing our self-awareness empowers us towards acceptance and change. I am passionate about connecting with others through therapeutic relationships in order to collaboratively address difficulties and achieve goals.

Some of the areas I specialize in: relationship conflicts, jealousy/trust, infidelity, non-monogamy, compulsive sexual behaviour (sex/porn addiction), low/mismatched desire, arousal/orgasm/erections problems, painful sex, consent, fear of sex and intimacy, sexual trauma, sexual confidence, shame, sex education, kink, etc.
I’m a psychosexual therapist specializing in relationships and sexual wellbeing. I meet people who feel stuck—wanting to understand themselves better, shift unhelpful patterns, and find direction in their sex lives or relationships. Together, we create a space for curiosity and honesty, where even difficult conversations can feel natural and open. This is a place to make sense of what’s going on and begin to create change.

I aim to offer a professional yet down to earth relationship in which you can explore your personal difficulties whatever they may be. Sessions are offered weekly or fortnightly, usually in an open ended way until you're feeling more like yourself again. Some people come for a few sessions, some for a few months and others decide to come longer term. Many people are now starting to use therapy over time and re-access support at times when it is needed most with someone who they trust to know them and their life well. Most people request support from me when they have exhausted their own options and don't know where turn to next.

My ideal client is anyone who enters into therapy with a curiosity to understand themselves better, and is open to exploring who they are without judgement of self. We should prioritise ourselves because we are the biggest life project we undertake.

Investing in yourself can sometimes feel hard to do, you can always convince yourself that other things or people are more worthy but investing in counselling will be the greatest gift you can give yourself and can change your life. Counselling can be accessed for a number of reasons, something really specific may have happened or you might just have feelings you want to understand more, or behaviours you want to change. Whatever it is, we can explore things together so you can understand yourself better and put steps in place so you can live a more positive, happy and fulfilling life.

I feel that reaching out to talk to someone can be difficult, we may feel a sense of the unknown and therefore I understand that the process may be challenging. On the other hand, you may have spoken to someone before or feel at ease. Either way, through our work together I feel you have the potential to grow, develop, heal and work towards achieving your goals. No experience or issue is too large for us to work through. Therapy provides a time and space for reflection, exploration, support and understanding that we may not readily have in our day to day lives. For this reason, I feel it can hold great value.

In my practice, you’ll find a confidential, welcoming space where you can freely explore emotions and issues that are troubling you. My goal is to build a trusting, open relationship with you where you can feel supported and understood. I won’t give advice or tell you what to do, instead, I’m here to support you in discovering your own solutions and insights, recognising that you have the power within you to bring about change. I aim to create a therapeutic space where you feel comfortable and able to explore different areas of your life, to say the things which might seem they can’t be said elsewhere.

Infidelity Counsellors
How does therapy for infidelity work?
A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?
Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?
When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?
Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
