I'm a qualified integrative therapist , working with adults, children and adolescents.
Hi, my name is Paula, I'm an integrative therapist working both face to face and on line. I wonder, when was the last time you allowed yourself to be vulnerable? When did you last talk about things which make you uncomfortable? I wonder, what would the possibilities might look like? Who would you be? What could you achieve? Is it time for change? This isn’t a journey you need to travel alone. We can work on change together.

I am passionate about trauma informed practice: making every effort to understand the impact of people’s lived experiences on their daily lives. My approach is based on psychological formulation, to make sense of what a person is experiencing, and then using a range of integrated approaches to help people to make changes. I care about empowering individuals to live the lives they want to live, and take a very human and empathic approach to working with people's distress.

When working with children, I begin with an initial parent consultation to gain a clear understanding of the child's needs and background.
I work with people who want to find a deeper sense of meaning and connection and a space to understand themselves more fully. You might feel stuck, unsettled, or held back by past experiences that still affect you. In our sessions, we take time to explore what’s beneath the surface, such as the patterns, emotions, and stories that shape how you experience life. Through a calm, thoughtful, and sometimes creative process, therapy becomes a space for real understanding and growth, helping you move toward a more grounded and fulfilling sense of self.

I work in a holistic, intuitive, transpersonal and creative way. I have 20 years of experience and my training in psychotherapy, shamanism, creativity and play therapy enables me to work with all ages in various ways bespoke to the individual. Some people prefer solution focused/coaching others need a more trauma informed approach. My intention when I work is to support clients so they become more empowered and resilient. To find their voice and expression in the world. To rediscover or unearth their true potential to work towards their goals whether that is more happiness, success, healing family wounds or building confidence.

Hiya, I’m Lennie. I work with teenagers, young adults, and the grown-ups they’ve become. The ones who never quite fit the mould and are tired of pretending they do. I help teens carve out their identity in a world full of labels while supporting the parents and professionals navigating the chaos with them. Life with the people you care about should be something you enjoy, not just survive. Let’s face it, keeping your head down and pretending everything’s fine won’t get you anywhere. Together, we’ll tackle what you’ve been avoiding, rewrite the rules to suit you, rebuild your confidence, and create a life that finally fits.

I have extensive experience in supporting families, adults, children and young people with a variety of difficulties, including low mood and depression, low self-esteem, stress, anxiety, loss and bereavement, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, relationship problems and issues around identity and belonging.
The beginning of therapy aims to develop a shared understanding of the problems, how they started, what things might be them keeping going, and what strengths and coping mechanisms you draw on. How therapy progresses is then dependent on the kinds of issues that are important to you to explore and resolve.

I offer individual, couples and family work with children, young people, adults and/or the wider family network.
Life can be challenging and at times our problems and difficulties can overwhelm us. Sometimes we can find it difficult to make sense out of the situations we are in or feelings we may be experiencing. In these times we may need additional support to process the past and work on the present and the future

Online counselling allows you to access sessions that work around your schedule with many clients choosing to have sessions during their lunch break or while their children are sleeping.
We all deserve to be heard, to have our experiences validated and to take up space just as we are. In therapy, I aim to create a space where you can reconnect with your voice, explore what matters to you and move toward the changes you want to make, however big or small they may be at your own pace. Whether you're dealing with issues from the past, struggling with low mood, navigating life transitions or just feeling stuck, you're not alone. If your goal is to build self-awareness, overcome negative thoughts or develop coping strategies, therapy may be right for you.

Child Counsellors
Do I need to attend therapy with my child?
Parents are an integral part of a child’s therapy, but the specifics of their involvement vary. If your child is young, you may attend most or all sessions; if your child is older, you may attend a few sessions or none; sometimes a therapist may ask you to have a session on your own. Whatever the arrangement, you should expect to work collaboratively with the therapist, your child, and your family members to take steps to help support your child.

How long are sessions with child therapists?
Children’s therapy sessions can last 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes. The length of the session may depend on your child’s age and the type of therapy practiced. You can discuss this with therapists you consult and the one you ultimately move forward with.

How do I get a child to agree to seek therapy?
The best approach is to have an open-ended conversation with your child about how they’re doing and what they might be struggling with. When you raise therapy, discuss the concept in an age-appropriate way, for example explaining that a therapist’s job is to help kids handle their hard or uncomfortable feelings. Frame therapy positively, as an opportunity to explore and build emotional skills—it’s an important tool in the toolbox to help kids feel their best.

How can I tell if a therapist is a good fit for my child?
A child needs to feel comfortable opening up about their thoughts and feelings, so if your child feels a sense of comfort, ease, and trust with their therapist, that’s a great sign. In addition, a therapist is a good fit for your child if the two can communicate well together; a clinician should be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and in an age-appropriate manner.
