I have experience of working in multiple communities including LGBT with problems related to bereavement, relationship breakdowns, sexuality, PTSD, obsessional compulsions, anxiety disorders and other symptoms of deeper problems that supress our potential.
I believe listening empathetically to your specific individual experiences and thoughts, enables a deeper understanding of why you may be feeling depressed, anxious, lonely and lack direction or purpose in your life. If you have experienced the trauma of abuse or neglect, you may be feeling isolated from others and carry a sense of shame about who you are. I have fifteen years of experience creating individualised approaches centred around the individual needs of people who are experiencing psychological difficulties.

My work in counselling has provided me with experience in many different areas, such as grief, anxiety, addiction, sexuality, relationships and low self-esteem.
I specialise in a Person-Centred manner, working with the client to focus on what feels important to them, while exploring their inner self to help the client gain a better understanding of who they are and self-acceptance. While I am predominantly a Person-Centred counsellor, I will also integrate other methodologies where beneficial.

I work with a wide range of issues. My role as a psychotherapist is to listen to you with sensitivity and empathy and without judgement or rushing you. In this way, we can both try to make sense of what has happened up to this point in time. You may be feeling depressed, anxious, stressed or heartbroken because of it. These are natural emotional responses to what has gone on - however if this has been going for a while, or you don't have someone to talk to, I could be able to help.

Our Clients at The Echelon Scene are gay men who are seeking a long-term relationship. They come to us because they simply do not have the time to online date or sit in a crowded bar in Soho. They would rather outsource and have us do the filtering so they are only going out on dates they are excited about. Our Clients are typically busy individuals who are passionate about what they do and excel at work, they range in ages from 30-mid 60s and are based all over the world. The common factors are they are all genuinely seeking a monogamous long-term relationship and are in a positive state of mind for dating.

Therapist with an MA In philosophy from the University of Amsterdam. I trained at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London, which is a Transpersonal form of therapy; grounded in psychodynamic therapy, but also accepting of the more mystical, metaphysical side of life.
I also work as a Contributing Editor at The Institute of Art and Ideas and the HowTheLightGetsIn festival – the world’s largest philosophy and music festival.

I have 25 years experience of working with people who have depression, anxiety disorders and/or chronic painful conditions. I find that people are attracted to CBT and ACT because they are looking for slightly more structured sessions and they want to learn tools and techniques to help them achieve their goals.

My ideal client is someone who is mentally, emotionally, or physically drained—often struggling with anxiety, depression, low energy, unresolved trauma, relationship distress, or unhealthy habits such as emotional eating, smoking, or burnout-driven behaviors. They may appear functional externally but feel disconnected internally. Many also face issues with negative emotions, low libido, poor gut health, chronic stress, weak performance or lack of purpose. They are drawn to my approach because it bridges modern psychotherapy and natural healing sciences—addressing the brain, body, and environment as one ecosystem.

Then my desire changed to facilitating direct positive shifts in other people's lives; lives spoilt by trauma, depression, anxiety, abuse, persecuted sexuality and lack of life direction.
I am an integrative counsellor. This means that I have a major mode of working - client centred- but draw on other traditions where indicated. Where relationships are the focus I will include psychodynamic approaches. Finally, I will take an existential approach to problems of "what do I want to do with my life."

Who is sex therapy for?
Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.
Why do people need sex therapy?
Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.
What happens in sex therapy?
People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.
What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?
Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
