Are you looking for effective help to deal with trauma, panic and anxiety? Are you fed up with labels and diagnoses that do nothing to resolve the symptoms and pain that you're suffering with? CPTSD, PTSD, GAD and BPD are labels that define your symptoms, but that don't tackle the cause or do anything useful to relieve them. I specialise in helping people with anxiety and PSTD and have helped many people just like you, who have been struggling, sometimes for decades. I won't dredge up unnecessary past experiences - I only work with what is relevant. Also if you prefer, you won't have to speak in detail about your issue.

I am a sex and relationship therapist based in Peckham, London and Leigh on Sea, Essex. I work with individuals, new or long-term couples, and people in multi-partnered relationships. I support clients who are struggling with sex and/or relationships to find more connection, pleasure, understanding and ease. I also recognise that intimacy, sex and relationships can hold pain, shame, trauma, numbness, confusion, or a sense of “darkness”, and it can feel hard to approach this alone. I believe therapy offers a safe container to explore these experiences at your pace, with care and curiosity, and I aim to offer this in my practice.

I'm sex positive, sex worker allied and have experience of kink dynamics.
I have found that interpersonal relationship issues often intersect with deeper themes, such as patterns of relating formed in childhood, feelings of anxiety or overwhelm, identity exploration, or a sense of being stuck. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore these interconnected areas together and work toward positive change.

We can all remember times in our lives when we have felt something was missing. Times where we’ve needed assistance, but not known where to turn. We’ve been overwhelmed or exhausted; confused or isolated; lost and in need of something more that we can’t put our finger on. I am interested in what has brought an individual to the point they’re at currently – what is working for them and what do they want to change. With a warm, person-centred approach I respect the individuality of my clients and help them to find ways to take more control over their lives without judgement or barriers.

I support anxiety, confidence and work pressures, and offer LGBTQIA+, identity, relationship diversity and kink-aware counselling to help you move forward authentically.
Many of the people who reach out to me are thoughtful, self-aware, and used to coping alone. From the outside life may look steady, but internally they feel overwhelmed, stuck in overthinking, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion. Some are questioning identity, relationships, or direction in life; others feel pressure at work or struggle to feel “enough.” They want a space where they don’t have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or be judged. Their goal is to understand themselves more clearly, feel calmer and more confident, and make choices that feel authentic rather than driven by fear or expectation.

We all face times in our lives when we feel lost, anxious, and overwhelmed. We may find it hard to get out of bed in the morning, or feel like no-one will understand what we are going through. Sometimes intense memories of a loss or a traumatic event in our past may be hindering us from moving forward, creating painful patterns in our day to day lives. Perhaps we just feel that something is 'off' and sense that we are not living our lives in the most fulfilling and meaningful way possible. I am a qualified Integrative counsellor trained to work with adults and young people, and want to help you find a way forward.

Therapy can be a daunting concept, one that is often misunderstood yet with the right connection between therapist and client it can be life changing. As a gestalt psychotherapist, I work with a broad range and depth of issues that any client might bring to the therapy space. I work with you to understand what you need from therapy, why you sought it in the first place and what differences or changes you are seeking. It is of upmost importance that you and I both know why you are in my therapy room and what you hope to achieve from therapy.

Sex-Positive, Kink Allied Counsellors
Why might an individual want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
A sex-positive or kinky individual may want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist because the client may feel safer and more supported discussing their experiences and challenges. A therapist who identifies as kink-friendly will have experience with clients having diverse sexual preferences and will likely be nonjudgmental and supportive about issues brought to the table. It is important to note that sex-positive, kink-allied individuals may find equal success with therapists who do not have such specialised knowledge and background. The most important factor in the success of therapy is for the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond.

Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in sex-positive, kink-allied treatment?
Generally, no. There are limited training programs and unofficial accreditations that therapists can pursue, but a therapist’s expertise will ultimately come from their previous experience with similar clients, their engagement with organisations that promote sex positivity or kink-allied lifestyles, and the importance they place on safety and cultural sensitivity.

How can individuals recognise a good sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
An experienced therapist is able to help clients explore their sexual identity and expression and relieve any discomfort or stigma attached to discussing such matters and the client’s overall challenges. A therapist who is sex-positive and kink-allied is able to create an environment that honors a client’s experience and sexual preferences. To recognise a good therapist, clients can simply ask directly about topics and issues important to them and gauge their comfort level and connection with a clinician based on the responses.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist with a focus on sex positivity and alternative sexual lifestyles?
Some individuals may feel most comfortable knowing that the clinician they’re working with has a commitment to creating an atmosphere of sex positivity and has experience with relationship diversity and alternative relationship structures. Working with a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist may help clients respect their own challenges and improve identity-affirming treatment.
