Sleep or Insomnia Counselling in Leeds
Reaching out can be difficult. Maybe you feel stuck, anxious, unsettled, lost your way, or uncomfortable with whom you have become. The difficulties within our lives can change who we are or how we see the world. It can lead to thoughts or behaviours that take us away from who we are, resulting in a feeling of something not being right, struggling to cope or to make sense of things. When entering therapy, our life experiences enter too, and healing occurs within the processing. We will work together to build trust and explore your emotions and thoughts within a non-judgemental and safe environment, working at your own pace.

You may look like you’ve got it together—but inside, you’re overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in self-doubt. I’ve supported teens facing pressure and identity confusion, couples navigating conflict or distance, and individuals trying to balance their own needs with life’s demands. You don’t have to carry it all alone. Therapy with me offers a warm, judgment-free space to feel understood, regain perspective, and gently reconnect with the version of yourself you’ve been missing.

Unhelpful thoughts and uncomfortable feelings are part of being human. Sometimes however, we can get stuck in a painful vicious cycle by reacting in unhelpful ways to them. This doesn’t mean we’re broken only stuck. If you’d like to learn new ways of responding to these thoughts and feelings then I can help. I have a lot of experience assessing and treating a wide range of problems using CBT. I use a range of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and mindfulness tools to enhance and compliment traditional CBT. I find this approach effective in helping people to recognise and break unhelpful patterns, overcome problems and prevent relapse.

From the outside your life looks capable and successful, yet inside you feel overwhelmed, anxious or caught in patterns you cannot seem to shift. You may already understand a great deal about yourself. You have reflected deeply, read widely or even tried therapy before. But understanding your patterns is not the same as being free of them. Working with me means slowing things down and being supported to feel what has been avoided, guided by someone experienced in working with emotions, the body and the mind. As those protective patterns loosen, you begin to trust yourself and your instincts again.

Hi, my name is Paulina, I'm an integrative counsellor and I wonder when was the last time you truly felt heard?
Maybe you've been holding onto things you've never spoken about and the weight of it is starting to feel too heavy. Or perhaps you just need a space to make sense of it all. Imagine stepping into a warm, caring environment where you can talk about your life without fear of judgment.

As a therapist working with children, I offer calm from the storm they may be feeling. With my years of knowledge and experience I am able to provide the space for your child to work through those challenging emotions and life events. Children don't always have the words they need to communicate how they are feeling, this is why play therapy is a powerful tool to help children to express their emotions non-verbally, if they prefer. My background in working therapeutically with children who are looked after and schools, means I have the knowledge and skills to help alleviate these difficult emotions and behaviours.

I was born and raised in multicultural societies all my life. Living in several different countries on 3 different continents (United Arab Emirates, Canada, Pakistan, Wales and England) has given me unique knowledge about culturally adapting therapy. It has also taught me to understand and work with many different kinds of people. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship with the client to create a safe and comfortable space to address and potentially alleviate psychological trauma. I have extensive experience adapting contemporary therapy and counselling and tailoring it to unique cultural nuances.
