In Person Counselling in Leeds
I have face to face appointments in a well ventilated room, as well as online appointments.
Taking the first step to seek therapy is often a scary experience, but is quite often one of the best and most rewarding things you can do for yourself. My practice is always led by what my client needs and at their pace. As an integrative relational therapist my focus is on relationships - between myself and my client, and their relationships throughout their life, as a means of understanding their patterns and working towards their future. I have worked with people from all sorts of backgrounds, working through all sorts of issues, keeping the relationship at the forefront of everything we do together.

I offer a safe, judgment-free space for people to explore whatever difficult experiences they may be going through. With over 10 years of experience as a counsellor, I have learned that counselling works best when the person feels that they can say the unsayable. My professional experience has taught when it works well counselling provides a way for a person to understand themselves and their situation better, and through that equip them to make clearer decisions and embrace change. I can offer sessions in person, online, or via telephone.

I offer in person therapy sessions in a lovely new room with soft, squishy chairs or online via zoom.
Many of my clients arrive feeling low in confidence, stuck in family or friendship struggles, or weighed down by loss, trauma, anxiety or big life transitions. They leave calmer, clearer, and more like themselves again.
Clients often tell me they walk into my room, exhale deeply, and finally feel safe enough to let go. They feel listened to, respected, and gently challenged in ways that help them understand themselves more fully.

I offer long and short term work, in-person or on-line.
I can work with you to help you feel understood in a confidential, non-judgemental environment. Counsellors do not give advice, but I can help you to understand how and why you think and feel the way you do. This can enable you to develop self-confidence, self-esteem and acceptance of who you are. Self-confidence may reduce anxiety or depression and support resilience, which is the ability to recover and adjust to life’s challenges.

I have now resumed face to face meetings following UKCP's guidance.
People come to psychoanalytically informed therapy for many reasons—depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, stress, shame, or low self-esteem. What these struggles often have in common is that they have been present for some time and, despite our best efforts, do not improve when we try to manage them alone. This can leave us feeling stuck and isolated, with symptoms and frustrations that gradually intensify.
The aim of this therapy is not only to alleviate conscious symptoms, but also to develop a deeper understanding and awareness of the underlying emotional life that shapes our relationships and our feelings.
