I have lived experience of ADHD, my daughter was diagnosed late with ADHD and Autism, and through her journey I received my own diagnosis too.
Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re carrying things that others can’t see. You might feel stuck, anxious, burnt out, or unsure why you’re not coping. You may also feel misaligned or uncertain about what comes next. I don’t offer quick fixes or advice, I offer a safe, non-judgemental space for counselling or coaching, to explore what’s going on at your pace. For trauma or distressing events, I use gentle approaches like the Rewind Technique, which can help you process difficult memories without having to relive them in detail. Sometimes, having someone who really listens is the first step.

I have personal experience of late diagnosis ADHD and have supported many clients through their own diagnosis journey and the associated struggles.
We are all individuals whose wants, needs and desires are different and I will work with you as a unique person, deserving of counselling as individual as you. You are in the driving seat, as together we navigate the difficulties and problems you face in the present and will stay by your side throughout this journey. There may be times we look back at your past and glance at how it affects you in the here and now, but I aim to do this at your own pace, when the time feels right. I offer solace, a listening ear and permission for all feelings to be heard. Ready to move forward? Lets navigate this path to renewed hope together.

Whether it’s anxiety, low mood, ADHD, or something harder to name—I help people untangle things, spot patterns, and find more clarity and direction.
You might feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—from yourself, from others, or from what used to matter. Maybe you’re tired of repeating the same patterns, or struggling to make sense of your thoughts and emotions. You might not even know exactly what’s wrong—just that something isn’t sitting right. You’re looking for real change, not just surface-level advice. Therapy can help you get to the root of things, understand yourself better, and find a way forward that actually feels right for you.

Clients often tell me they value having space to offload, slow down, and make sense of what they are feeling. Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure what is going on beneath the surface, but you know something needs to shift. You might want clarity, coping tools, or simply someone to sit with you in what you are carrying. You do not need to have it all figured out. I will work with you to explore what is going on and help you move at your own pace in a way that feels right for you.

I'm especially passionate about supporting people navigating anxiety and panic attacks, ADHD/ AudHD, perimenopause and menopause, as well as those feeling the emotional impact of DNA discoveries or genealogy and family history research.
You’re holding it all together, but only just. Maybe you’ve had a panic attack in the toilet at work. Maybe you’ve asked ChatGPT to help untangle your brain. You feel everything so deeply. The tiniest thing tips you over. Everyone’s got an opinion about what you should do, but you don’t even know who you are anymore. Maybe you've been carrying things alone for a while and masking how hard it’s been just to get through the day. You might feel like you're "too much" and still feel "not good enough". You're not broken. You’ve been thinking about therapy. Now you’re here, wondering if anyone will really get it.

Hello, since qualifying in 1992 I have had the great privilege to work alongside many clients seeking help with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger issues, low self esteem, confidence issues, OCD, ADHD.
I work with my clients to find the best way forward. This means I taylor my modalities to your need. Maybe CBT might be best, or Transactional Analysis or Gestalt or Person Centred or a mixture of them with life coaching or hypnosis. Counselling is about change and sometimes that may require homework too.

Like me, my client base has been gloriously eclectic. I have extensive experience of working with many types of loss. Grief is painful no matter whether it's as a result of a relationship breakup, loosing touch with parts of yourself. Slowly painfully loosing a loved one to Alzheimers/Dementia, being a carer for a child with an eating disorder. I regularly work with clients who have been in some way affected by a Brain Tumour. Interestingly Anger and Rage is something i have worked with regularly in the last 4 years. If you or your partner are neurodivergent I can help you find collaborative ways of communicating together.

I believe that every person I've ever worked with has been doing the best they can with the resources they have. Not everyone has the same resources as others do, whether by trauma, neglect, poverty, neurodiversity or discrimination, many people are trying to navigate life without the tools and skills they are often expected to have. My goal as a counsellor is to try to help you rebuild and learn these missing resources to help you to navigate life with resilience, confidence and joy.

Individual and couples counsellor. You don’t have to keep pretending you’re fine if you’re not. I work with people who seem put-together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected inside. Maybe you lie awake replaying conversations, or you’re exhausted from being ‘strong’ for everyone else. Therapy is where you finally get to put the weight down. I won’t just listen and nod - I’ll help you untangle the patterns keeping you stuck and give you practical tools you can use in daily life. Whether it’s calming thoughts, setting boundaries without guilt, or learning how to quiet your inner critic.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
