So I have a young person aged 15. There is evidence of self harm and 2 overdoses -neither life threatening but a call for ' I need help and to be listened to'. I need to look at where these issues are coming from, is there intent to commit suicide, give that young person tools and strategies for doing something differently when there is a possibility for further self harm. They want an alternative so we look at triggers, noticing what is happening inside their body, what their negative automatic thoughts are, We set SMART goals, from something very small -they need to be able to achieve the goals, and then increase these slowly.

I provide therapeutic space for you to reflect, think about and explore difficulties without judgement. Sometimes we can have an idea about what we are struggling with, sometimes we are less sure. Accessing therapy can help us to understand ourselves and give meaning to that which leaves us feeling stuck. Sometimes things that are happening in the here and now can bring up feelings that we have experienced in the past that we may or may not be aware of. This may create discomfort, pain, distress, anxiety, depression and overwhelm. People often describe feeling empty, in darkness, alone, lacking energy and feeling frightened.

I work with men who experience intrusive anxious thoughts that can sometimes set them into a spiral or down a rabbit hole of overthinking. These thoughts can come out of nowhere, feel hard to switch off and and take you away from things that are important to you, like feeling present with your family, friends or partner. Most of the men I support are high-functioning but exhausted. They're managing pressures with work, responsibilities at home and a mind that won't slow down. This can be tough. I help men steady their thoughts and build practical tools to feel calmer and more in control.

I specialise in working with children & their families, particularly young children. Parents contact me because they are concerned about their child's behaviour or development, sometimes they can see that their child is worried, cross or seems sad. Often parents have questions about how best to respond to their child in different situations, or want to learn more about different parenting approaches. Parents also worry about relationships within the family; whether they feel as close to their child as they thought they would, or whether difficult times have put a strain on relationships. These are all good reasons to get in touch.

I am a highly motivated and passionate real guy with a solution focused approach to life, therapy and mental health. I bring a refreshing new approach to every appointment and treat every client as a true equal and approach every issue as a team. I make the treatment of incredibly challenging issues positive, normal and achievable.

At times, people can feel overwhelmed by events or relationships in their lives. You may feel anxious, confused, depressed, frustrated and alone. You may be troubled by something you don’t understand, or something in your life isn’t working out as you want and you can’t seem to see the 'wood for the trees'. Trying to understand such events and feelings or make lasting positive changes can seem too difficult on your own, and this is where counselling/psychotherapy, EMDR or life coaching or a blend of these therapies can help.

Beginning therapy can feel daunting, and it’s important that you feel safe, listened to, and genuinely understood. You may be feeling anxious, low, or overwhelmed, going through a life transition, or noticing unhelpful patterns in relationships. You might be navigating a crisis, or you may want to understand yourself more clearly, feel more confident in relationships, and respond to challenges with greater resilience. Whether you’re facing a specific difficulty or seeking greater self-awareness, we will work in a way that feels steady and manageable.
