Do you sometimes feel like you are existing rather than living?
This feeling can be related to low self-esteem, resulting in anxiety, depression, or suppression with coping behaviours. A lot of the time you can feel disconnected from those around you, that you are "just playing a part", and that if you weren't there, it would make no difference to the world around you.
I work to change this, to recognise that you add value to your world.
I look to your past to find meaning in your present. Childhood experiences can affect how we connect to people, and engage with the world around us. By exploring the past, we re-shape the future.

I work with individuals navigating complex emotions, relationship challenges and life transitions, helping to untangle psychological knots. Utilising the relationship itself as a tool for healing, together we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface, uncovering the patterns that have kept us stuck. Over time, this allows for change that feels more grounded, meaningful, and lasting.
In our lives we can come to feeling stuck in recurring patterns; whether in relationships, emotions, or life choices, even when we already have some understanding of them

Are you feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself or the people around you?
Perhaps you find yourself stuck in familiar relationship patterns, struggling to cope, or unsure of who you are and what you want. When life starts to feel heavy or confusing, therapy can offer a place to slow down, breathe, and find your footing again.
My existential analytic approach focuses on looking beneath the surface, helping you understand the why behind your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours. Rather than trying to “fix” symptoms, we’ll work together to make sense of them.

You might be here because something has shifted — a loss, a transition, a quiet sense that the life you're living doesn't quite feel like yours. Or because anxiety has taken up permanent residence and you're exhausted by it. Or because you're grieving something the world hasn't given you space to name. I work with adults navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, burnout, and the weight of societal expectations. Together we make space for what's actually happening — not just the symptoms, but what's beneath them — so you can move forward with greater clarity and choices that feel genuinely yours.

What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.
When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.
How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
