Psychotherapy is an opportunity to explore how we make sense of the sometimes contrasting ways we see the world. It offers a space to explore the ways we experience and are making sense of our past and present. To do this we want to cultivate a collaborative space where we befriend the habits that separate us from ourself and others. Often our habits are so habitual we don’t realise we are doing them. They have become almost unconscious in what we do. They are embodied in how we do life… they have become somatised.

In my online practice, I work with people who feel stuck. Often, the things we do to cope with stress, anxiety, or low self esteem—like drinking, substance use, pornography, or overworking—start out as survival strategies but end up taking on a life of their own. I understand this territory. I bring trusted experience working in recovery centres, colleges, and supporting doctors dealing with burnout through Physicians Anonymous. But just as importantly, I understand it from my own personal life, too. I know how hard it is to break these patterns, and I know what it takes to navigate them.

People come to me with many different life experiences. Our sessions are a collaborative process, helping you to understand yourself more fully, see things from new perspectives, and develop tools and inner resources for life’s challenges. After years of understanding and overcoming my own challenges, I developed a passion for helping others understand themselves more deeply too. I offer a space that feels grounded, warm, and real — sometimes with a little humour — where we can work together to find a way forward.

I am here to support your healing process. Looking for a therapist is a courageous first step. I have found that common themes clients bring to therapy include: Feelings of shame and a lack of worthiness; being very self-critical; Feeling rejected, hurt, and alone; Stuck in relationships that are not fulfilling; Feeling that your life lacks purpose; Traumatic experiences that feel like they define you. Do any of these sound familiar? Would it help to have a space to work through these issues, to let go, and to feel greater freedom in your life? If any of these issues resonate with you then we can work together to make a difference.

I know it can be overwhelming to sift through all these profiles, so I’ll keep it simple. I'm a qualified therapist with 12 years of full-time experience. I'm a friendly, down-to-earth bloke with a good sense of humour, and I've gained (a bit of) the wisdom that comes with age and experience. My goal is to understand and support you, but I'll also challenge you to break free from whatever is holding you back when needed. I have a proven track record of helping people reduce distress, understand themselves better, and navigate life more effectively.

I’m a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and Schema therapist with a PG Cert in Compassion Focused Therapy. Our work would focus on understanding how your early life experiences have shape the patterns you are experiencing. This may show up as feelings of anxiety such as social anxiety, OCD, health anxiety or panic, feelings of low self-esteem, shame, depression, detachment or feeling overwhelmed. Rather than only managing symptoms, Schema Therapy allows us to gently explore and heal deeper wounds. I work collaboratively and at your pace, helping you understand yourself with compassion and develop lasting change.

With years as a Buddhist monk and an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King's College London, I bring rigorous evidence-based practice and profound embodied understanding.
I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, relational difficulties, existential concerns, and major life transitions. My approach emphasises one-pointed presence and non-judgemental awareness—the foundations of effective therapy. This synthesis of contemplative practice with neuroscience allows us to work at depth. I'm also a trained relationship therapist.

Hi, I’m a trauma-informed Relational Integrative Psychotherapist, and I’m here to walk alongside you—wherever you are on your journey. Whatever you’re bringing to therapy, I’ll meet you there, with compassion, curiosity, and respect. My approach is always tailored to your unique needs and pace. I believe that the heart of therapy is the relationship between us. Research backs this up—but more importantly, I’ve seen it time and time again: when we feel truly seen, safe, and supported, healing becomes possible. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and non-judgmental. I don’t believe in labels or pathologising your experience.

Feeling SAD, CONFUSED and/or ANGRY? Feeling stuck/trapped? What's the point? Nothing changes? I know the fears of opening up emotionally or mentally. I also know now of how beneficial it is for YOU. To have time to understand your 'self' so that YOU can process and heal, change YOUR future. It's empowering. I have studied for 6 years, to Masters level. Committed to my own personal development. Losing nearly three stone in weight (an emotional eater). Unattached from drinking 5 times a week to now occasionally socially or sometimes I just drink water and ice! Smoking and a fitter body is next. YOU are important! Take control back!

My therapeutic practice is also informed and supported by my ongoing interest in Buddhist philosophy and Insight Meditation.
I have 25 years of therapeutic experience. I work Online with Adults and Couples based in the UK. I specialise in working with autistic & neurodivergent people. I provide an accessible & compassionate service enabling people to learn about themselves and to address what is difficult in their lives. If we have been insufficiently understood and accepted we develop ways of being and doing that do not support our well being. With an understanding, trusted therapist we can begin to make sense of who we are, how we are and what has happened to us in our lives. We can be truer to ourselves and live with more confidence, ease and freedom.

I specialise in working with adults who are navigating big life transitions, often as a result of trauma. I work with grief, loss, sexual trauma, break-ups and burnout, and the big questions these experiences bring: Who am I now? What really matters? How can I live with more authenticity? You might be stuck in familiar relationship patterns, swinging between craving closeness and connection and then finding yourself overwhelmed and wanting to withdraw. You may struggle to set boundaries and ask for what you need, never feeling good enough or constantly comparing yourself to others.

Is buddhism beneficial for mental health?
While Buddhism itself is not a treatment for mental health conditions, its practices can greatly enhance mental well-being by introducing coping skills and ideas that promote overall wellness. Key Buddhist practices, such as mindfulness, have been shown to alleviate symptoms of various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma. Moreover, Buddhism's focus on self-compassion, non-judgment, and acceptance can benefit individuals with particularly negative or self-critical thought patterns.

What are the concepts and principles of buddhism as a therapeutic approach?
Core Buddhist principles are often used in therapy to help clients gain insight into their thoughts and emotions. Concepts such as suffering (dukkha) and impermanence (anicca) are applied to help clients recognise that common forms of suffering, like repetitive negative thought patterns, can be accepted and viewed as impermanent. The Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path are additional core concepts utilised frequently in Buddhist therapy sessions. The Four Noble Truths highlight the existence of suffering as an inherent part of the human experience—an insight frequently used to move clients toward greater acceptance. The Eightfold Path, which includes right understanding, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right concentration, and right mindfulness, offers practical skills to alleviate suffering.

What is the buddhist approach and practice during a therapy session?
Therapists informed by Buddhist principles often integrate mindfulness and meditation practices into therapy sessions to help clients cultivate greater acceptance, compassion, and non-judgment toward themselves and others. Typically, Buddhist therapists guide clients through mindfulness exercises, such as breathing exercises or body scans, and encourage them to practice similar exercises outside of sessions. Additionally, many Buddhist therapists utilise elements of Positive Psychology or Compassion-Focused Therapy, which can help reduce symptoms of self-criticism and shame common among clients with various mental health conditions. In general, Buddhist therapists strive to embody the compassion and non-judgmental approach they promote, often incorporating exercises aimed at developing compassion in session, such as loving-kindness meditation (Metta).

Is mindfulness the same as buddhism in the context of therapy?
While Buddhist therapists frequently integrate mindfulness practices into therapy sessions, the terms mindfulness and Buddhism are not synonymous in the context of therapy. Therapists may use mindfulness techniques, such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), without identifying as a Buddhist therapist. In contrast, those practicing within a Buddhist belief framework typically encourage mindfulness therapies, in addition to foundational Buddhist beliefs, such as the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. These therapists may also guide clients toward a deeper understanding of Buddhist philosophy, unlike those who use Buddhist mindfulness principles without the broader spiritual context.
