If you're feeling stuck—trapped in anxiety, perfectionism, or the impact of past trauma—you’re not alone, and you don’t have to face it without support. I work with adults navigating OCD, GAD, health anxiety, panic, low self-esteem, specific phobias and PTSD. Using trauma-informed, culturally sensitive CBT—including ACT and mindfulness—we’ll gently untangle patterns, build emotional resilience, and create space for calm. My approach is compassionate, steady, and grounded in evidence-based care that honours your story and helps you move forward.

I am qualified as an integrative counsellor and my busy private practice reflects a broad range of clients and their issues. I work with people of all ages, from all backgrounds struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction and stress. I also have experience of clients with bereavement, loss, panic attacks, trauma, sex and pornography addiction, anger and eating disorders. I work with individuals and couples and favour a systemic approach looking at context, social environment and behaviour patterns as well as attachments from the past that impact the present.

When life gets tough having someone who listens and assists you through the difficult feelings and challenges can enable you to understand what is happening and help you to move forward. Whether you have specific goals, or just need a safe space to talk, let’s explore if therapy may be beneficial. People often come to therapy after grappling with their problems or difficulties for a while and often on their own. Relationship problems, traumas or personal dilemmas are very common in today’s busy world. You do not need to suffer in silence. Talking to a trained therapist may be the first important step towards a more meaningful life.

I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating emotional and relational patterns, including neurodivergent experience, anxiety, low mood, parenting stress, and family conflict, in ways that honour your unique story.
Clients sometimes wonder whether difference, cultural, religious, or otherwise, will get in the way. In my experience, what matters most is genuine curiosity, respect, and the ability to talk openly about what’s present. I won’t impose interpretations or focus on culture, family, or identity unless it feels relevant to you and to the work we’re doing.

I support people to navigate a broad range of problems such as low mood, anxiety, burnout and stress, bereavement, loss, life transitions, fertility issues, parenting challenges, the effects of traumatic experiences, living with health conditions and new diagnoses, difficulty making decisions or feeling without a sense of purpose in life.
I view therapy as a collaborative project drawing on the skills and knowledge of the people consulting me. I aid this process by integrating evidence-based approaches such as narrative, compassion focused and cognitive-behavioural therapies. If it feels safe to do so, we can incorporate the knowledge and experience that is held in the body, into our work.

I am an integrative psychotherapist working with couples, children, adolescents and parents.
It is not necessarily our circumstances that provide us with challenges but how we approach them. Our past can be useful in understanding our present but it does not determine our future. I work both on developing your resilience and the capacity to cope with your challenges as well as providing you with the skills needed to turn them into opportunities.

I work with children and adolescents and/or with their parent(s) with difficulties including depression, anxiety, behaviour and eating problems, attachment difficulties, developmental issues and other difficulties resulting from neglect and abuse.
As a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist, I was trained to carefully observe children and young people and respond to what they are consciously and unconsciously communicating through their behaviour, verbally and non-verbally, through unstructured play, their silence, and other ways to communicate their emotional difficulties or distress. I have several years working in the NHS in CAMHS, and with charity organizations, providing evidence-based therapy and individual & group interventions for children and adolescents and supporting the networks involved in their care so that they can build resilience, flourish and live fuller lives.

What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
