I offer face to face sessions in Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottingham, online via Zoom or by telephone.
There are times in our life when pressures mount up so much, that they really impact on the quality of our day to day living and our overall wellbeing. This may be caused by specific events such as a relationship breakup, the death of a pet or loved one, redundancy or our health. It could be more general such as the impact of Covid-19, unfulfilling relationships whether that be with your colleagues, parents, siblings, partner or your children. Or, you’re not sure what’s causing you to feel so fed up – you ‘should’ be happy. Building resilience does not eradicate the stress and anxiety of everyday life, but it does reduce the impact.

I currently have more availability for online and telephone sessions, with limited in-person appointments at my Edwinstowe-based practice (easily accessible with free parking).
Now Welcoming New Clients – Online & Phone Appointments Available. Are you feeling stuck or lost — like no matter how hard you try, you just don’t quite fit? Maybe life feels like it’s moving on around you while you’re standing still. Relationships might feel confusing or exhausting — something others seem to manage easily, but for you, it feels different. You might be wondering, “Why can’t I feel like they do? Why does life feel so hard?” If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone — and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Therapy with me can offer a safe space to explore what’s going on for you, at your own pace.

If you are reading this I wonder if life feels difficult at the moment. Perhaps you are feeling anxious, depressed, living with the distress of uncertainty? Finding it difficult to let go of control, of perfectionism, feeling vulnerable or struggling with living in a ‘never enough’ world? Is this having a negative effect on your relationships, or are you struggling to understand traumatic events in your past, and you can no longer soldier on as before? However you may be feeling, it can feel really scary to come and talk to a counsellor. But I respect your courage to reach out, and I will listen to you with warmth and empathy.

I offer in-person sessions in a relaxing and soothing setting.
I offer short-term counselling, where we can work through more immediate and specific problems and longer-term psychotherapy for more intricate and deeper exploration. Whatever you have experienced, my aim is to help you move forward and benefit from the way you want to live your life. I understand how the impact of trauma on our lives creates a block in how we think and behave; where our past can overshadow or impede our view of our present life. With grief & loss, I recognise the parallel process of coping with our daily lives whilst managing a roller coaster of emotions and feelings that is both challenging and exhausting.

I am an Integrative psychotherapist which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to best support each individual. I work in a neuro-affirming way, recognising and respecting neurodivergence - particularly ADHD and Autism - not as deficits or disorders to be 'fixed', but as valid and valuable ways of being. My focus is on creating a supportive space where clients can explore the life issues that matter to them - whether that's relationships, identity, anxiety, burnout or navigating a world that often isn't designed with neuro-divergent minds in mind!

You are the only person who knows exactly how you feel, which means, you are the only one who knows when something is wrong. When something has happened, big or small, but enough to create feelings of anxiety, stress and depression, it can lead us to feeling isolated and alone. There is a human need to want to get back to that balance of a happy life and that change can only happen when you know and understand what is wrong and why. Sometimes we get so overwhelmed by a situation, current or historical, we cant seem to find a way out. But balance is achievable again, but sometimes we just need a little support to help us get there.
