I work with people across the lifespan from many backgrounds and with a range of issues including: anxiety, depression , relationship issues (including affairs, separation and divorce), work-related stress, low self-esteem and trauma to name a few.
Before clients begin therapy they are usually on the edge where they have tried to cope on their own for a sustained period, however this has no longer become effective. I can provide you with a discreet, comfortable and confidential space to support you through these challenging times which are hard to manage on your own. Discretion and a non-judgemental attitude are the key qualities I hold and what keeps my clients coming back to see me each week. I aim to provide a safe and engaging space to support my clients in moving forward. Therapy can be helpful for i) those wanting to understand the causes and the maintenance of their problems ii) thinking about where you are in your life and how you wish to move forward iii) exploring relationships iiii) managing general life stressors. On a personal note, I was born in the UK and have lived in Singapore and Hong Kong. I come from a culturally rich and diverse background which enables me to appreciate the uniqueness of each individual I see. I therefore work with people in the context and development of their own lives.

Are you the person feeling the words are not enough to express your emotions? Have you always been attracted to visual, colour, image or imagination? I offer deepening of the therapeutic impact with the use of creativity, which existed before humans learned to talk. I meet you where you are and we will take it from there. I worked with clients struggling with depression , anxiety, trauma, abuse, lack of self esteem, identity issues and self harm- both adults and young people. You may need to reach beyond language to describe and explore the chaos inside and then move towards the shift of transformation.

As a counsellor, I have helped clients with issues such as anxiety, depression , bereavement and relationships.
There may be times in life when we struggle to continue as we are and understanding the meaning we give to life-events can be difficult. In counselling, I hope to support you to explore your thoughts, feelings and patterns of behaviour so that you develop more self-awareness and become closer to your true self, resulting in a shift from disconnect and anxiety to connection and an increased sense of self-worth.

Life can be difficult for many reasons. Feeling vulnerable, alone or lost, not knowing how to cope, and maybe the fear of talking about it? Whatever is getting you down you don't have to struggle alone. Destructive patterns of behaviour can be changed, emotional issues recalibrated to enable a new focus. I am interested in hypnotherapy approaches in psychoneuroimmunology (PNI); the relationship between immunity, the endocrine system, and the central and peripheral nervous systems in my hypnosis therapy work with cancer patients for emotional distress, anxiety and depression , as mental health support as complimentary care.

Are you feeling stuck about the past? Perhaps the present is a source of stress? Or maybe you have a general feeling of uncertainty about the future? I am a very empathic and non-judgemental therapist with the benefit of a practical and solution-focused mind. I can help you identify and meet your missing emotional needs so that you can heal and stay mentally balanced; moving you on from states such as stress, anxiety, OCD, depression , anger, or addiction. This is a modern therapy with the added advantage of an optional guided imagery at the end of each session, as an extra 'boost' for feeling emotionally calm and in control again.

Depression Counsellors
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy by depression counsellors in Kettering. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
