relationship
difficulties. Maybe you’ve experienced some trauma or abuse or maybe you’ve learnt to cope with self harm. Maybe these have brought struggles with your sleeping or eating patterns. Wherever your difficulties may lie ........let me offer you a safe and comfortable place to explore and learn to manage those struggles.

Making the decision to seek help is a strength, not a sign of weakness, by acknowledging that you have reached the point of needing additional support. The first step is always the most difficult but I can support you as you embark on your journey to strive for change. relationship
, thus providing a platform where exploration, growth and change can occur.

I offer a integrative person-centered perspective, counselling in the Corby area face to face or online if that's more suitable for you. Life can be difficult for many reasons. Feeling vulnerable, alone or lost, not knowing how to cope, and maybe the fear of talking about it? Whatever is getting you down you don't have to struggle alone. Destructive patterns of behaviour can be changed, emotional issues recalibrated to enable a new focus. I am interested in hypnotherapy approaches in psychoneuroimmunology (PNI); the
relationship
between immunity, the endocrine system, and the central and peripheral nervous systems in my hypnosis therapy work with cancer patients for emotional distress, anxiety and depression, as mental health support as complimentary care.

Deciding to come to Counselling can take real courage. It may be that you have had a traumatic life event or you may be feeling low, depressed, anxious or feel that something just "isn't right". You may need a safe, confidential and non judgmental space to come and and explore your feelings. You may need short term therapy to focus on specific goals or you may need longer term therapy to work through more difficult issues. Whatever your needs, we can discuss this at the beginning of therapy, so that you get the best out of your Counselling experience.

Couples Counselling
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
