What do you want the next page of your life to read like? In working with me you will experience an opportunity to reflect on the things that are important for you. Most people wish to understand the big W’s in life “who what where, when & WHY” let’s not forget the honorary HOW! These things may show up in behaviour, thoughts or feelings about yourself or towards others and from others. You will also experience a commitment from me that allows for consistency of dressing themes that you bring. Be it long or short term work, we will work on creating a space that allows you to experience a connection that makes it ok to be you.

With over 25 years experience working as a therapist and my own life challenges, I am still continually stretching myself and increasing my knowledge and skills, for the benefit of my clients. My passion and purpose in life is to challenge my own mind and passing that knowledge and experience on, helping you to do the same and ultimately feeling able to handle anything that happens in life, even through difficult times. Issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, fears, etc. are quite common in these times and together we may be able to help you with strategies and clear understanding at a deeper level, enabling you to progress.

I help clients explore what’s keeping them stuck, understand patterns, and build practical tools to manage anxiety, depression, low mood, stress, burnout, and relationship difficulties.
If you are looking for a therapist who values your individuality and works alongside you, I can offer a calm and supportive space where you can begin that work. I believe meaningful change happens when therapy feels safe, caring, and personal. We can work together at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on what matters most in your life rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. My role is to listen with warmth and curiosity, and to help you make sense of what you are experiencing while supporting you to move forward in ways that feel manageable and lasting.

I am an Integrative counsellor, Life Coach and NLP practitioner. I believe every client is unique and I like to work together with my clients to help them untangle their pasts and look forward to a brighter future. I will never judge you or your decisions, I understand life is never black and white and most of us do the best we can with the resources available to us. I work with those struggling with their own mental health and those who are supporting someone with mental health. I understand the fear of families trying to navigate often complex and slow MH systems. I am just a human sharing my experience and expertise.

I will not judge you or try to influence you in anyway in our work together, but I will provide a safe, confidential space for you to explore your personal situation and work through issues which may be affecting your life, relationships or behaviour.
I support people to make positive changes so they can heal, thrive and live fulfilling and meaningful lives. Its time to become the person you have always wanted to be! Discovering what is important for you as an individual and learning to identify and use your inner resources to cope in times of stress, anxiety, bereavement, depression and emotional upheaval such as divorce, redundancy or retirement are just a few of the benefits of counselling. Often just talking through a traumatic experience or difficult feelings with another person can be incredibly therapeutic and will empower you to reach your potential.

Couples Counselling Counsellors
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
