Hi, I’m Daniela, a therapist with 8 years of experience helping individuals and couples build more fulfilling and joyful lives together. Having grown up in a high-conflict environment, I understand firsthand the desire for better communication and connection without constant arguments. My journey led me to train at Tavistock as a systemic practitioner, where I learned that true change happens when we look at relationships holistically—acknowledging the patterns that keep us stuck and the dynamics that shape our lives. Let’s work together to strengthen your relationship, improve communication, and create lasting, positive change.

Well done for taking the scary first step towards seeking more support. I know finding the right therapist can be overwhelming. Hi. I'm Bex (she/they). Therapy with me is gentle and down-to-earth. Often, it's chatting over a cup of tea. It's a space to focus on you. I am trauma-led and I affirm people of colour, women, queer, and neurodivergent people. I'm neuro-queer myself (with ADHD), too. I'm non-judgmental and kind, yet honest. In sessions, we'll uncover what's going on underneath the story, working with what's blocking you from where you want to be. I welcome any tricky, messy stuff; you do not need to have it figured out.

Life can feel tough - living with worry, sadness, self-doubt or relationship stress. I offer a supportive space to make sense of your experiences and their specific impact on you, and to find ways to relieve symptoms like anxiety and depression.
You may have reached a point where it is affecting your life and health, and just want things to change. It is difficult to do this alone. Together, we can look at your specific experience, patterns that you may have noticed, and work on ways to achieve the change you are looking for - perhaps feeling lighter with clarity about yourself and more able to manage problems and relationships.

You may find yourself repeating painful relationship patterns, struggling to trust others, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, or questioning your worth in close relationships. Perhaps you have experienced relationships that left you feeling unseen, unsafe, or deeply hurt. Even when life appears “ok” on the outside, relational trauma can quietly shape how you connect, cope, and view yourself. I specialise in working with adults affected by relational trauma, attachment wounds, and the lasting emotional impact of difficult or inconsistent relationships.

Dissociative Disorders (DID) Counsellors
How does therapy for dissociative disorders work?
Dissociation may be triggered by stress or other upsetting circumstances, and therapy can address the traumatic events at the core of an individual’s dissociation. Understanding why a person may dissociate can help the therapist and the individual come up with alternative methods of coping. A person with a dissociative disorder may get stuck on negative thinking, for example, and treatment like Cognitive behavioural therapy is a gold standard for breaking such thinking. And dialectical behaviour therapy, for example, can help a person manage their anguish through better emotion regulation.
Which therapies are best for dissociative disorders?
Specific approaches used by professionals include cognitive behavioural, dialectical behaviour, psychodynamic, schema therapies, among others. Cognitive behavioural and dialectical behaviour therapies are two widely used therapies that can help individuals with painful memories and past traumas. These therapies work to integrate an individual's different identities into one person.
Are there specific medications for dissociation?
There are no specific medications prescribed for dissociative disorders. However, psychosis, depression, anxiety, and/or panic often co-occur in dissociative disorders. A psychiatrist may prescribe medications for any accompanying symptom which may include antipsychotics, antidepressants, or anti-anxiety drugs.
How often and how long are therapy sessions?
Like any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual. Patients may see improvement within 15 to 20 sessions, at an average of 50 minutes per session, others may opt for 20 to 30 sessions over, perhaps, a six-month period. There are still other patients, especially those who have co-occurring conditions like depression and anxiety, who may need to continue sessions for up to 12 to 18 months.
