Hello, I’m Hannah. I’m a Clinical Psychologist with a background in NHS and private settings, offering a calm and compassionate space to explore what’s brought you to therapy. I work with adults who are adjusting to health challenges, experiencing anxiety or low mood, or navigating significant life changes. These experiences can feel overwhelming or difficult to make sense of. I aim to offer a warm, safe, and approachable space to reflect on what’s been happening, consider what feels most important to you, and explore practical, meaningful ways forward.

CBT Therapy for Perfectionism, Pressure, and High Self-Expectations. We commonly work with people who feel constantly switched “on”. People who appear to be coping well externally but feel internally driven, mentally overloaded, responsible, and holding themselves to high standards. They may be finding that the usual ways of coping are no longer working as well as they once did. Alongside this specialist focus, we also support adults whose difficulties are beginning to affect daily functioning, work, or relationships. You can learn how to prioritise a lot of responsibility in a way that does not compromise success.

I work with individuals, couples and families that need to face a trauma, a loss, problems of anxiety, depression, fears or relational problems (such as couple conflict, emotional or behavioral problem in a child, alimentary disorder, relational closure in an adolescent). Working together will help everyone finding new energy to change and when everyone is involved in a transformation, it will be stronger and lasting. As an Italian psychotherapist I work in Italian and in English with the foreign community in UK. Sharing the experience of migration always helps to face a new life in a different country.

Are you struggling with anxiety, low mood and overwhelm as a neurodivergent family? I have helped ND adults, parents and young people with a therapy-based approach, sometimes blended with a coaching and psycho-education theme as suits. I have supported many through their journey of diagnosis, understanding and acceptance often with the challenges of communicating with others and seeking out and securing the support and services they need. I have supported young people in and out of education again with a mix of therapy, coaching and psycho-education aiming to help them understand more about themselves and be able to self-advocate.

Do you feel overwhelmed by your feelings? Do they impact on your confidence and day-to-day life? Or perhaps you have experienced painful losses, abuse or traumatic events that are affecting you? Do you have patterns of behaviour that no longer feel beneficial to you? Sometimes we think and act in certain ways that function to protect and preserve us. These have felt necessary in the past, but are no longer useful and can instead impact negatively on our life.

As a CBT and EMDR therapist, I can support individuals who are looking to make active changes to their day-to-day life. You may be struggling with feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or perhaps restricted in life due to a chronic illness. You may have goals about making life feel more meaningful, despite its challenges. You could be aware of past experiences that are affecting the way you feel and respond to situations, and you are willing to spend time, in a safe environment, working through the difficult thoughts and feelings to reach a place where it doesn't affect you in this way anymore.

Can you imagine your life without anxiety & self doubt? Anxiety is a costly emotion. It costs you your time, your energy, confidence, and your peace of mind. If you feel paralysed by self-doubt or stuck in a cycle of avoidance, it isn't because something is wrong with you, it’s because you are repeating a pattern you haven't been taught to break. I specialise in high-impact, compassionate CBT that transforms paralysis into action. This isn’t just about coping. It’s about gaining control over your anxiety and restoring your self-worth and life energy. You’re welcome to contact for a free consultation call.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
