Think of me as someone you can talk to about anything—whether you’re feeling stressed, stuck, overwhelmed, or just need to vent. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling like “technically nothing is wrong in my life, but I’m just not happy. Is this really it?”
You might be feeling anxious about the future, unhappy in your relationship, or waiting for a partner to change and realising it’s not happening. Perhaps you’re considering ending your marriage or making a big life change, but the fear of being alone or starting over feels overwhelming. These struggles can leave you feeling anxious, suffocated, taken for granted.

You’re someone others depend on, the one who keeps things moving, holds things together, and rarely lets things drop.
From the outside, you seem capable and in control. But internally, it can feel heavier than it looks. You might find yourself overthinking, stretched, or quietly carrying more than anyone realises.

I work with adults and couples who want to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and make meaningful, lasting change, rather than relying on quick fixes or coping strategies that don’t hold.
Therapy with me offers space to slow down, think clearly, and explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, so you can move forward with greater confidence and agency.

You look like you're holding it together on the outside. But inside something feels off. You're capable, thoughtful, used to being relied on but you feel anxious, empty, overwhelmed and misunderstood.
Perhaps you’re questioning your direction, identity, or going through a loss or change. You’re worried about how others perceive you and want to understand why you fall back on the same patterns in relationships that lead to frustration, withdrawal or low self-esteem.
You might be living by a set of rules you never consciously wrote and it’s driving self-doubt, guilt, or overthinking to the point you can’t switch off.

Women's Issues Counsellors
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.
How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realised.
How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
