I support adults experiencing Anxiety, panic attacks, overwhelm, burnout, bereavement, grief, and the emotional impact of life-changing illnesses such as cancer, MS and Parkinson's disease.
Anxiety can show up as panic, overthinking, irritability, fatigue, or avoidance. Grief, bereavement, and life-changing illness can leave us feeling isolated and overwhelmed. As a pluralistic counsellor, I tailor therapy to your needs, using CBT and other approaches to help you understand your experiences, develop coping strategies, and move forward.

” We might experience a bereavement or loss (a job, a relationship, a marriage); or issues may arise related to dating, getting married, or ageing and retirement.
From a Jungian perspective, therapy (analysis) begins with the understanding that every person (including you) is unique and has the potential to become fully “individual.” This will involve looking at the way past experiences may have affected you and the way those might continue to get in the way of “you becoming you.”

Are you struggling with grief, anxiety, depression, living with neurodivergence, a health diagnosis, relationships, life in general?
My work with Hillingdon Mind (and a local hospice) has given me extensive experience in working with complex grief and with diverse cultural issues, and depression and anxiety that can accompany these. Over the last 8 years I have supported Brunel University students with disabilities and neurodivergence, and gained invaluable experience in this field.

I work with adults and couples with issues such as anger, anxiety, panic attacks, relationship problems inc affairs, betrayals, trauma, feeling sad, bereavement, depression, stress and low self esteem.
There are times in life when we need help. When we feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, sad. Situations we are unable to make sense of. I offer an initial free consultation. This gives you the opportunity to find out about the therapy I offer. Research suggests that the therapeutic relationship itself is more important for a good out come than a particular type of therapy. This means that I am going to help you feel safe, accepted and treated with respect and perhaps challenge you in a positive and constructive way, then you are more likely to make good use of our sessions.

I have a decade of specialised knowledge working in the addiction and recovery sector, am a trained bereavement counsellor and work with the breadth of human experiences as outlined below.
You may be here because you’re looking for someone you can truly talk to — someone who will listen with empathy, curiosity, and respect. My role as a therapist is to offer a space where you feel safe and supported as we explore current challenges, past experiences, or beliefs about yourself and the world that may hold you back from living a more fulfilling life. A clear picture of what exactly troubles you isn't always necessary — only to know that you desire change. Together, we can develop a deeper understanding of what’s happening for you and explore how therapy might support your growth, healing, and potential.

I have also worked with clients facing a variety of challenges, such as anxiety, cancer diagnosis, grief and simply feeling overwhelmed.
Do you find yourself questioning whether you're good enough, put others' needs before your own or frightened that people won’t like you if you ask for what you really want? Are you struggling with relationships, carrying hurt from your past, or just feeling stuck in a life that doesn't quite fit anymore. I've sat with people from different walks of life who've felt the same way. Your reality doesn’t have to be like this. Taking that first step to reach out for support can feel incredibly scary and overwhelming but if any of this sounds familiar, please get in touch.

If you have a deep sense of spiritual knowing, or a longing to get closer to this aspect of yourself, or if you have recently experienced a spiritual awakening, then you may be feeling that this part of you is being neglected, you may be feeling isolated and lonely, or perhaps believing you are 'too sensitive.' During this experience, it is natural to look for a guide to help you integrate this part of yourself fully, learn to trust yourself, and feel peace and acceptance in being all that you are.

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, addiction, bipolarity, childhood trauma, existential concerns, identity issues, relationship issues. The focus of our work together is compassionate self-awareness and non-critical self-understanding. We explore thoughts, feelings, and beliefs which predominate to help differentiate the prevalent experience of our lives from something deeper, more constant, and freer, within.

If a young person in your family is feeling down, anxious or worried, coming to play and arts therapy can make all the difference. This mode of therapy is ideal for children and young people, a safe space for them to explore their emotions and to develop key skills to help them feel happy and confident. I have had many years of experience working with children both in schools and privately and especially children with Autism and ADHD.

Most people who contact me aren’t in crisis. There are people like you, capable, self-aware, probably holding quite a lot together, who have reached a point where something quietly isn’t working anymore. Maybe it’s a pattern you keep repeating. A relationship that’s become painful. I’m Urvi. I’m an integrative counsellor, and before I retrained I spent over 20 years in management consultancy, financial services, and telecoms. I’ve also lived across four continents, India, Australia, Singapore, and the US, and I work with a lot of people who navigate more than one cultural world.

How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
