I am trained both medically (1985) and in psychodynamic counselling (2013) and so have valuable experience in how both the mind and the body operate in healthy and unhealthy states, and how these parts importantly interact. What is happening in our unconscious is so very important in us all. Whatever the sources and maintaining factors in your suffering, I am able to explore your life story with you and help guide you to enable change and healing, or that would be my goal, so that you can find the way out of the prison that our suffering creates and to transform your way of being that frees you up to find a life that works for you.

Hi, I’m Damian
I’m a qualified integrative therapist.
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. Therapy is a broad term, there are so many of us out there, and when life already feels heavy, investing time, energy and money into support can feel like a big step.
I’m someone who understands that life can be messy, painful, and full of change. I know something about loss, resilience, uncertainty, responsibility, and having to keep going through difficult times. These experiences don’t define the therapy, but they do help shape the way I meet people: with warmth, respect, honesty, and care.

Hi, I am Sam. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship problems or difficulties relating to ADHD, I offer a safe and impartial space in which to really consider what’s going on in your life at your own pace and begin to make real changes.
I have always approached each client I work with slightly differently and I believe this forms the basis of meaningful connection between us. This is, for me, the most fundamental element of good therapy. People are different and being adaptive is key. I listen and I aim to understand and get to know you in a way which facilitates change and movement.

They want to break free from destructive cycles, feel worthy of love, rebuild relationships, and find purpose.
They seek transformation - not just symptom management but fundamental healing to reclaim their life beyond addiction, lived experience and/or any related pain, grief, loss, shame, anxiety, depression or anger.

Hello - I am a qualified counsellor offering calm, thoughtful support to adults and young people who feel emotionally stretched or worn down. You may be used to coping and carrying responsibility, yet privately feeling anxious, low, irritable or disconnected. Perhaps anger surfaces more quickly than you would like, or familiar relationship patterns leave you frustrated or hurt. You are not seeking surface-level reassurance — you want to understand what is happening beneath the surface and feel steadier in yourself.

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist with over ten years experience. I work full-time seeing individual adult clients and I hope that my approach is experienced as warm, non-judgmental and relational. Whatever has led you to look for a therapist today, my own view is that current persistent difficulties in life have their roots in the past. And I believe that it is only by getting underneath these symptoms and trying to understand where they come from that real and lasting change can take place. And permanent, positive change is what I strive for for all my clients.

You may feel stuck in repeating cycles—around addiction, relationships, or intimacy—even though you understand your patterns and genuinely want things to change. Shame, attachment wounds, or codependency often sit underneath, leaving you longing for connection, self-acceptance, and a sense of freedom. Many of the people I work with feel tired of looking outside themselves for answers and are ready to begin a more grounded, authentic kind of healing.
Most people come to therapy feeling unsure or ambivalent — often that’s exactly where meaningful change begins....

Hi, I'm Duncan, a UKCP accredited psychotherapist. Life can get heavy sometimes. Old patterns, big feelings, difficult relationships. It can all
build up, often quietly, until it's too much to manage alone.
I help people understand what might really be happening underneath the surface, and find a steadier way forward. No judgement, no jargon, just space to figure things out at your own pace.

I work within a Jungian framework, where symptoms are seen as communications from the psyche that need to be honoured, in order to be understood and worked through. I endeavour to meet the patient where they are, and through the interpersonal relationship that emerges between us, with its conscious and unconscious aspects, narratives and meaning can emerge safely and creatively, whether through speech, silence, dreams or bodily gesture. Although my main focus is psychodynamic, I have 27 years experience as a practicing psychiatrist, and I also practice Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?
There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.
How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?
Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.
Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?
Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.
Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?
Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
