Bisexual Counselling in Harrow

Hello, I am Dr Rima Lamba. I'm a feminist counselling psychologist with an interest in the unique experiences of women from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I work closely with women who have struggled with self esteem & identity, relationship issues, difficulties in motherhood, life transitions, attachment and early trauma, and transgenerational trauma. I am particularly interested in the structural power differences that impact people, so I work closely on issues to do with patriarchy, race, culture and more. I also work with a team of therapists who can support clients, including adult families.

To navigate through the jungle that we may call life can be a lonely and often confusing struggle. I am here to walk beside you, to provide you the safety and trust to heal from the wounds of yesterday and embrace tomorrow with greater inner strength. I am a qualified Integrative Therapist; this means that I incorporate a range of theoretical approaches to absorb what you may be experiencing and explore how you can live with more harmony. With extensive experience as a counsellor, coach and mediator within the NHS and universities, I believe we can create a flexible working relationship tailored to your needs.

Asking for help is not an easy step to take. The prospect of sharing your thoughts and feelings with someone else is quite a leap of faith and if you have not experienced counselling before you may be wondering what to expect. I would like to offer you a comfortable space where we can talk and get to know each other; and when you are ready, we can start to explore and make sense of your thoughts and personal difficulties, working entirely at your own pace. By exploring our past experiences and relationships we can often gain a new and fresh perspective on our issues which can lead to a deeper understanding of ourselves.
