I offer a warm, supportive space for adults of all ages seeking short- or long-term therapy. At the heart of my approach is a commitment to building a relationship with you where we can explore your past experiences, current relationships, and the challenges you’re facing today. I believe that our earliest relational patterns continue to influence us, often out of awareness, and can impact our wellbeing. Together we can begin to make sense of these patterns. With greater self-awareness comes more freedom and choice in how you relate to yourself, others and the world around you.

Feeling sad, traumatised or disconnected from the world, or perhaps struggling with unhelpful behaviours leaving you feeling anxious and low. This often is a result of conflict with the relationship with ourselves or others, at work or at home. Relational conflict with partners, parents, friendships and colleagues can make us feel vulnerable, unsafe and unable to cope. Clients tend to be the best expert on their experience and often understand what's concerning them but are stuck and unable to find a way through. It takes courage to face into some of our issues but recognising we have them is the hardest part.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or held back by low self-esteem, feeling misunderstood, you are not alone. I work with adults (18+) who want to understand themselves more deeply, heal, and grow into a more, grounded version of themselves.
Clients often come to see me with a sense of feeling overwhelmed, worried, they might struggle with focus, overthinking, sleeping patterns, relationships and want to explore this in relation to their Autism and/or ADHD. Some clients come not knowing the reasons for their struggles and through the sessions we can explore what might be going on underneath the surface.

I don’t only listen and nod through the session — I notice what keeps you stuck, challenge unhelpful patterns, and bring insight that actually helps you respond differently. Together, we create clarity, confidence, and relationships that feel secure and balanced.
You might be overthinking everything, or feel “too much” or “not enough.” You may struggle to set boundaries, feel drained, and have relationship difficulties with partners, colleagues, or family. You may feel anxious in conflict, unsure how to express your needs, or frustrated by patterns you can’t change alone.
You’re in safe hands with me.

Thank you for visiting my profile. Life brings many challenges which can take its toll on our mental well-being. There are many different reasons for seeking therapy and talking through your problems in a safe, non-judgemental, empathetic space can be empowering. It takes courage to take the first steps in seeking help; too often we put ourselves last and succumb to the pressures of ‘soldiering on’. Supressing these negative emotions leads to anxieties, depression and low-self-esteem. Counselling offers you a safe space in which to work through those problems and find a more positive outlook.

Many women seek therapy because something no longer feels quite right. Life may have shifted in a way you didn’t expect, or you may be carrying thoughts and feelings that are becoming harder to manage alone. You may feel anxious, down, overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself. These feelings often arise during periods of change, stress or uncertainty — when old ways of coping no longer work, or when past experiences begin to surface in the present. I offer a calm, reflective space with you in mind, to slow down, understand what feels unsettled, and begin to feel more grounded, supported and steady from within.

Sleep or Insomnia Counsellors
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.
Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.
Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.
What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
