If you're struggling with anxiety, self esteem, or navigating challenging relationships then I can help.
On the surface they see your success, a smiling face, the version of you that you show the world. But they don't see what's underneath. You feel anxious, self-critical or constantly "on" inside. Your perfectionism, high expectations, or past experiences leave you feeling uneasy, exhausted or disconnected from yourself and those around you. You might feel stuck- wanting change, but unsure where to start. Another part of you quietly longing for a space where you can slow down, be real, and be heard without judgement. Whether you have a clear focus or simply sense that something needs to shift, let's explore it together at your pace.

My specialism is the area of unconscious impulses, drives and processes; the part of the mind that leads to repeatedly doing the things that one does not want to do, and the disruption to positive progression in the things that one does want to do. Often, thinking, actions and behaviour can leave someone feeling confused, even bewildered which over time gives rise to extraordinary worries, compulsions obsessions, panic, anxiety, depression and can even manifest in the form of physical illness. Resolution brings about inner peace, contentment, clarity of thought, improved decision making, self esteem and confidence.

I provide counselling and therapy for individuals and couples on an open-ended basis, with the aim of enabling you to find the inner resources to enhance your life and to live it more fully.
It can be difficult to find a therapist who you feel connected to, someone who can open up to. That is why I suggest we have a short phone consultation free of charge before our first session. You can also use this time to ask me any questions about therapy that you may have. I offer concessions for students and people on low income, so please do enquire.

Many of the people I work with struggle with the lingering effects of childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, or patterns that feel hard to change, even when they want to.
Coming originally from Greece, through Porto, and now calling UK my home, I’ve witnessed a shared human truth. None of us is immune to emotional pain. Trauma, grief, anxiety, intense emotions, and fears or challenges around intimacy can feel isolating, but in the presence of a compassionate, trusting relationship, they can be held, acknowledged & transformed.

I am a sex and relationship therapist based in Peckham, London and Leigh on Sea, Essex.
My approach is embodied and pluralistic. This means we'll look at the whole mind–body system, and we work with sensation, emotion and meaning, rather than just thoughts. It also means there is no one-size-fits-all: I tailor how we work to suit your needs, values and ways of processing, so that therapy genuinely fits you. I am neurodivergent-affirming.

Based near Broomfield Hospital. I am an easy to talk to pluralistic counsellor, this enables me to use a different mode of approaches depending on the issues presenting in the therapy process, ranging from psychodynamic, TA, CBT, person centred. You may have experienced a traumatic event and may be be carrying trauma within, this not only affects the mind but the body too. As well as trauma you may be suffering problems in your life that are holding you back, leading you to feel stressed, stuck, anxious or depressed or you feel like you are stuck in a cycle with no-one to talk to. Together we will find a path for you to take.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in self-doubt, or finding the same patterns repeating in your relationships?
CBT is active and collaborative, giving you strategies you can use in everyday life to manage anxiety, lift low mood, and build confidence. I also work with couples who feel caught in cycles of conflict or disconnection. In our sessions, we slow communication down, explore underlying needs, and help you rebuild understanding and emotional closeness.

Couples Counselling
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
