Here's what we might work on together:
- Breaking free from intrusive thoughts and compulsions that keep you stuck
- Taking your life back from phobias so work, relationships, and everyday things feel possible again
- Managing anxiety and emotional overwhelm (especially if you have ADHD)
- Making sense of your neurodivergent experience and validating you
Hi, I'm Charlotte - a High Intensity Therapist, Mental Health Social Worker, and someone who genuinely gets what it's like when anxiety, OCD, or phobias take over your life.
Are you stuck in exhausting thought cycles? Avoiding places or situations because the fear feels too big? Maybe you're neurodivergent and finally have words for experiences that have confused you for years, but you're not sure what to do with that understanding?
I know what it's like to feel trapped in your own head. It's exhausting, confusing, and sometimes it feels like no one else quite gets what you're going through. I do.

I am a Play therapist who works primarily with children aged 4 to 12. Children often show their need for help through their behaviour. They may be struggling to form friends, getting into trouble at school, falling behind in their learning etc. There are many reasons a child may benefit from therapy. These may include abuse, domestic violence, loss of a loved one (including a pet), bullying, divorce, illness. You may not even know why the child is struggling, just that they are. By the end of therapy I hope that the child will feel happier in themselves and will have developed more resiliance to be able to manage future events.

I am a trauma-informed, integrative therapist with NHS experience. Being trauma-informed means that I use a specific approach to therapy that recognizes and emphasizes understanding how the traumatic experience impacts a person’s mental well-being. This type of therapy is rooted in understanding the connection between the trauma experience and the person’s emotional and behavioural responses. Being integrative means that I can work at your pace with a wide variety of skills tailored to suit you. I am aware that therapy is not a “one size fits all” and I pride myself in working with you to reconnect you with your values in life

Many of my clients are high-performing individuals who live with ADHD, often caught in a cycle of overworking, burnout, and self-criticism.
My approach is clinical, caring, and collaborative. Many of my clients begin therapy when they’re feeling stuck, anxious, or after experiencing a significant life event. In a safe and supportive space, we explore their current difficulties understanding what has happened, what might be maintaining the problem, and how we can begin to reframe or change the situation.
Often, clients come to therapy saying, “I just want to be happy” or “I want to feel like myself again.” Together, we unpack what happiness and self-connection truly means for you and explore why these feelings may feel out of reach right now.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.
How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.
How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
