Some people arrive with a clear understanding of what they’re struggling with, while others simply know that something doesn’t feel quite right. You may be feeling emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, stuck in repeating patterns, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together. Others come with bigger questions around identity, meaning, relationships, or how to exist more comfortably in the world. Sometimes these experiences show up not only emotionally, but physically too- through anxiety, tension, numbness, overwhelm, shutdown, or a sense of feeling disconnected from your body.

I work with adults and young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, identity questions, and life transitions. Many of my clients are teens, students, professionals, parents, or people navigating cultural change, belonging, and questions of self esteem and identity. I also work with men who may feel uncertain about therapy or find it difficult to talk about their emotions. Together, we create a safe, collaborative space to explore what is happening, build understanding, develop coping strategies, and find a way forward that feels right for them.

I work with adults who are often capable, responsible, and used to holding things together—but inside feel anxious, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns they can’t seem to shift. You might feel exhausted by overthinking, weighed down by pressure to get things right, or impacted by past experiences that still feel close. Therapy offers a space to gently make sense of this, at a pace that feels manageable. I offer a thoughtful, compassionate space to understand what’s keeping you stuck—and begin to move forward with clarity and hope.

English & Russian Speaking - I work with adults who may seem capable and “fine” on the outside, while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. Many of my clients struggle with overthinking, self-criticism, people-pleasing, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s needs. Some grew up around criticism, high expectations, or environments where emotions didn’t feel fully safe. Together, we gently explore these patterns, helping you better understand yourself, build self-compassion, and feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally supported.

You might look like you’re coping on the outside, working, socialising, getting through day to day, but inside you feel stuck in emotional or relationship patterns that don’t seem to change. Maybe you’re not in crisis, but you feel frustrated, disconnected, or unsure why things never shift despite your efforts. I work online with adults who want to understand what’s beneath these patterns. Rather than focusing on quick fixes, I believe that looking at what's happening beneath the surface, how your inner world looks and considering your past experiences is the key to supporting meaningful, long-term change.

If you feel like you’ve lost your footing in your relationships or your own skin, you don’t have to steady yourself alone. I offer a calm, down-to-earth space to untangle complex patterns and find your way back to yourself. I have a particular interest in how early family roles, especially those shaped by sibling relationships, continue to influence the adults we become. Whether you were the “responsible” eldest, the peacemaker, or the one who felt overlooked, these patterns often echo in our relationships today.

With over 10+ years supporting adults, including 5 years in a trauma-specialised setting, I have seen how often trauma doesn't live in the past. It lives in your relationships, your body and your sleep. Alongside trauma & attachment, I work with adults carrying what's harder to name, shame, self-doubt, a sense of never quite belonging, not knowing who you are outside of what others need from you, or the weight of relationships that have always felt complicated. Many people I work with don't arrive describing themselves as having been through trauma. Sometimes it's one clear event. Sometimes it's an accumulation of experiences.

How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
