I work with individuals, couples, and families who may feel stuck in patterns that are hard to shift, whether that’s anxiety, low mood, trauma, relationship difficulties, or more longstanding and complex experiences. Many of the people I see are thoughtful and reflective, but feel overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves or others. Clients often come wanting a deeper understanding of their experiences, support through significant life stages, or help making meaningful and lasting change. I offer a collaborative, non‑judgemental space where we can think carefully together about what’s going on and how to help.

If you’re here, something may not feel right. You might be managing anxiety that never fully switches off, carrying the weight of trauma, navigating relationship strain, or simply feeling stuck and exhausted. I pride my practice on being down-to-earth, professional, non-judgmental and confidential. Therapy with me is structured and evidence-based, but never cold or overly clinical. Clients often say they value having a therapist who is steady, straightforward and genuinely human. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Some people come with clear goals; others just know they can’t keep going as they are.

Beginning therapy can feel difficult, especially if you have been carrying things on your own for some time. Many difficulties we experience are understandable responses to painful, overwhelming, or challenging life experiences. Therapy can offer a space to slow things down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and feel supported in understanding yourself and finding new ways to move forward.

I use Compassion Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to tailor therapy to your individual needs and enhance the benefits of CBT, ensuring long-term results.
Feeling stuck, even when you know what you should do? Maybe you look capable and together to others, but feel held back on the inside by overthinking, self-doubt, or fear of getting things wrong. Perhaps you put things off until you feel more confident or certain; and then feel frustrated with yourself for not achieving. You might recognise yourself if: - You have high standards and are hard on yourself - You overthink decisions and struggle to get started - You feel pressure to do things “properly” or not at all - You appear confident to others but feel stuck or behind - You often tell yourself you should be coping better

Our emotions are designed to keep us safe. However, our minds don’t always respond the way we would like to, with many of us struggling to manage depression and/or anxiety. Sometimes presenting challenges in our relationships and other areas of our lives. Thankfully, we can adapt our brain, soothe, understand, and teach it how to respond more helpfully.

I often draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT) as a way of supporting clients to learn skills on being more mindfully aware of their experience and in taking steps towards a more meaningful life.
Hi, I’m Jonathan. As a Clinical Psychologist I can help if you're struggling with stress, low mood, anxiety, panic, feelings of shame, low self‑esteem, and more. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from your sense of purpose, I provide a compassionate space to explore this and support you towards meaningful change. Whether you're navigating relationship difficulties, grappling with identity, sexuality, or aspects of neurodiversity such as ADHD and autism - we can work to make sense and overcome issues. As a foster carer, I also bring unique insight into the emotional impact of fostering and adoption.

I specialise in using a systemically informed integration of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy ( ACT) and compassion focused therapy (CFT).
The client I am best at supporting is someone experiencing cognitive, emotional, or behavioural difficulties following a neurological condition or acquired brain injury. They may feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or unsure how to make sense of changes in memory, attention, emotions, or confidence. They want clear understanding, practical strategies, and compassionate support. Their goal is to reduce distress, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with what matters most—work, relationships, independence, or identity—so they can move forward with greater clarity and purpose.

As an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, I don’t believe in a 'one size fits all' approach. Instead, I draw upon a variety of therapeutic traditions to tailor our work specifically to you, your unique background, and your personal goals. Together, we will create a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and feel truly heard. My role is not to analyse you from a distance, but to work collaboratively alongside you—honouring your past, understanding your present, and helping you build the tools for a more fulfilling future, We will explore it all at a pace that feels safe and right for you.

I like to work with my client's own resources their strengths, qualities, and natural abilities so Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT) along with Solution Focus Therapy is helpful here.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. Usually, they've tried to deal with their issues and problems by themselves and managed to get by or cope. Sometimes, these burdens feel too much to bear and what used to work no longer does. If you are feeling stuck, powerless, and exhausted maybe counselling can help. "You can not heal what has not been revealed" as the saying goes - so being in an environment where you can express your thoughts and feelings without humiliation, shame, or guilt is the first step in ridding yourself of the burdens that are holding you back.

Hi, I'm Lula. I support adults online with grief, loss, relationships and self-esteem. Every person and experience is unique and I can promise you won't be put into a box or labelled. I believe grief, specifically, is not something to 'fix'. Together, we cultivate a safe space where you can show up authentically, as will I. Perhaps you'd like to reconnect with yourself, to your values and creativity. Perhaps you'd like to feel empowered in a flourishing relationship with a lost loved one, parents or a partner. Welcoming curiosity and all feelings, I look forward to meeting you.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Counsellors
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
