Hi my name is Sammy and I am a qualified and accredited Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and the ACC (Association for Christians in Counselling and Psychotherapy). Clients come to me because they feel something is not quite right in their lives. They may be anxious about relationships, work, college or simply feel that they cannot cope with life. They want someone to listen to them in a non judgemental way. Many are stuck with past patterns of behaviours or negative thought patterns which no longer work for them. They may be wondering what therapy entails so I aim to put them at their ease when they first contact me. Clients tell me our sessions are relaxing, practical, sometimes even fun as we work together to make positive changes to their lives.

I am a humanistic counsellor, BACP registered. I offer counselling for adults and adolescent in a friendly and confidential environment. I work in an integrative way that draws on several schools of thought including Person-centred, Existential and Gestalt modalities. I provide a safe space for you to explore your feelings, and help you along your journey of healing and achieving the growth that you desire. We all face challenges sometimes and need help to improve and make changes.

Through my experience of nearly two decades of working within the mental health industry, I have continued to develop my empathy skills, along with a strong sense of compassion for my clients. I am a clinical psychotherapist specialising in women’s mental health and adolescents, individually and through groups. My specialist areas include women and mums (pregnancy, postnatal anxiety, postnatal depression and birth trauma), and personality disorders online and in Surrey and London. I am BACP and UKCP accredited, having completed a PhD and MSc at the University of Roehampton, alongside BI DBT Intensive Training and MBCT Training. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings within the NHS in therapist roles. These included child and adolescent mental health teams, and several specialist eating disorders services. I specialise in treating eating disorders, depression, anxiety, emotional and behavioural problems. As a CBT therapist I aim to help people to identify their unhealthy thoughts and behaviours, and collaboratively work together to challenge these and bring about change
