My journey into counselling began as a personal quest for healing . Through that journey, I discovered a profound passion for supporting others to navigate their own paths towards healing and resilience. In my practice, I offer a safe , supportive space where trauma survivors can explore their experiences, express their emotions, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. With empathy and understanding, I walk alongside my clients as they work through the complexities of trauma, offering support, guidance, and evidence-based techniques to facilitate healing and growth.

Are you feeling stuck in painful relationship dynamics, struggling with intimacy or sexual challenges, or navigating the complexities of cultural transition and identity? Do you feel like some parts of you are lost, wounded, or out of sync - with your partner, your body, or your sense of self? You may be carrying stories that no longer serve you, shaped by culture, past relationships, or unspoken wounds. As an integrative counsellor, psychosexual and relationship therapist, I offer a space where all of you is welcome - where we slow down, listen deeply, and gently reconnect you with who you are, and how you want to live and love.

Hey, I'm Nicole. I have a special interest in anxiety, and I'm here to support you if you're finding it hard to accept anxiety and everything that comes with it. You might be here feeling hopeful and ready to get going, or you might be feeling scared and unsure. Either way, that's okay! I’ll meet you where you’re at. Together, we’ll work on how to live with anxiety, not against it! I know it can be tough to sift through all the therapists out there, and it’s hard to know who’s the right fit. But if you’re here, you’ve already made the first move, and that’s something to be proud of.

I help ADHD adults, teens, and children (11+) to discover relief from overwhelm, ease from anxiety, and courage to be true to themselves, for greater fulfilment in life and relationships. Perhaps you have a sense you struggle more than others, which can leave you feeling ashamed and unsure of yourself. With an unruly mind and relentless anxiety, you can feel held back from what’s important to you in life and relationships. Some part of you knows there's a happier more fulfilled 'you' desperate to get out. I offer a nurturing and empowering space, where we'll discover who you are with more clarity, ease, and trust in yourself.

I work with adults navigating emotionally demanding lives — in professional, caregiving, or personally stressful contexts — who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck in repetitive patterns. I offer online therapy across the UK, helping clients understand what drives their difficulties and feel steadier, resilient, and more like themselves. Many of the people I work with are capable and responsible, used to supporting others, yet struggle to access support for themselves. They want more than coping strategies; they want insight, lasting change, and practical ways to manage the emotional load of demanding work and life circumstances.

Our work will be engaging, collaborative and creative – not just listening. People experience me to be energetic, enthusiastic, warm, and real. Carrying your struggles alone can feel isolating — especially when living with anxiety, low self-worth, or the sense of never being ‘good enough.’ Taking the step to share these experiences can be deeply empowering. I offer a space of unconditional acceptance and a considered quality of attention, where you can bring every part of your experience without judgment. Together, we can make sense of what you’re going through so you feel seen, supported, and more confident in yourself. From there, we can work towards greater clarity, calm, and connection.

Are you battling an eating disorder or caught in a cycle of never feeling good enough? Are you constantly self-doubting or procastinating? Is anxiety holding you back from the life you want to live? Maybe you’re overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck in perfectionism — driven by impossible standards and harsh self-criticism. Perhaps your relationships are suffering, and you don’t know why. You don’t have to face this alone. I created "Tutum Psychology" from the Latin word 'tutum', meaning 'safe'—to offer exactly that: a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore, heal, and grow. Let’s work together to create that space for you.

Life will always present us with challenges and difficult situations. Sometimes these challenges can get on top of us and we stop living and enjoying our lives as fully as we would like. This is where counselling can be of help. Counselling is about offering a supportive relationship in a safe and confidential environment to talk through whatever is concerning them. Counselling is not about giving advice and counsellors can never be experts in other people’s lives. Counselling is about helping people find their unique strengths to work through a particular issue in the best way for them so that they can live a happy life.

Bisexual Counsellors
What is bisexual-affirming therapy?
Bisexual-affirming therapy is a type of mental health support that fully affirms and reflects a client’s bisexual identity. It is rooted in acceptance and does not attempt to change or question an individual’s orientation. In this type of therapy, clients work with a therapist who understands the unique experiences of bisexual people. This support is especially important, as research shows that bisexual individuals face higher rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation compared to other groups. Bisexual-affirming therapy acknowledges that bisexual individuals may encounter specific stressors—such as invalidation, relationship challenges, and minority stress—that require specialised understanding and intervention. Many therapists also provide couples therapy for bisexual partners, helping them navigate relationship dynamics, communication challenges, or external stressors that may impact their relationship. While not required, some clients prefer working with bisexual therapists who may bring personal insight to the therapeutic relationship. However, a non-bisexual therapist with strong training and a genuine commitment to affirmation can be equally effective. The most important factor is finding a therapist who understands how identity impacts mental health and can create a space of trust and respect.

What can a bisexual therapist help with?
Bisexual-affirming therapists can provide support across a wide range of concerns relevant to bisexual individuals. Whether through personal or professional experience, they often have specialised knowledge in areas such as the coming out process, navigating stereotypes, and dealing with common stressors. Relationship support is another key area of focus, as bisexual clients may face unique challenge when dating or maintaining relationships across genders. Affirming therapists can also help clients build coping strategies for managing discrimination or stigma. Additionally, many bisexual-affirming therapists can connect clients to other providers or community-based resources—such as bisexual support groups or LGBTQ+ organisations—that offer additional affirming spaces for connection. It's important to note that therapists provide can talk therapy and counseling services but do not prescribe medication—if medication is needed for conditions like depression or anxiety, they will coordinate care with a psychiatrist or primary care physician who can provide psychiatric medication management alongside therapeutic support.

How do I find a bisexual therapist?
The Psychology Today online directory is a helpful tool for finding bisexual-affirming therapists. You can use search filters to identify therapists who specialise in LGBTQ+ care and work specifically with bisexual clients. You can also filter by clinical specialties, therapeutic approaches, accepted insurance, session costs, and languages spoken to find the right fit. During initial consultations or early sessions, ask potential therapists about their specific training in bisexual-affirming care, their experience with LGBTQ+ clients, and their therapeutic approach to identity-related concerns. An effective bisexual-affirming therapist will demonstrate genuine understanding of bisexual experiences, including awareness of the unique challenges facing bisexual individuals. You can also look for credentials or continuing education in areas such as LGBTQ+ mental health, trauma-informed care, and intersectionality.
