A greater understanding of your internal world will enable you to gain insight into the way you are operating and to understand yourself better. The therapeutic process will enable you to change your life and your relationships. I offer a safe space to unable the delicate journey of exploring.

I have over 20 years experience working in the NHS in both adult as well as children and adolescent mental health services. My specialism and passion is working with children and young people with a variety of emotional and mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression and low mood, trichotillomania, lack of confidence and poor self esteem, eating issues, OCD and trauma. This includes both assessment and treatment.
If things aren't going well at the moment and you feel alone then maybe I can help? I offer the opportunity to explore whatever may be causing you pain and anxiety in a safe and caring space. Some people come because they want short term help with a particular issue which may be causing them problems with getting on with the process of living. Other people come because they would like to work longer term with a complexity of issues sometimes originating from childhood. Whatever is worrying you book a free initial assessment and see if working with me helps make a difference. I offer discounts for refugees.
My aim is simple: to help people who need some support in life. I will listen to whatever you need to share, however difficult the subject matter may be. If you can’t find the words to express the way you feel, I will help you to discover a way to bring out those emotions. I work collaboratively with you and I sincerely believe people can gain so much more by working together on a problem. I will definitely help you to understand yourself better. I firmly believe that increasing your self-knowledge will lead to greater potential for an improved quality of life. I aim to help you fulfil your personal goals whatever they may be.
Feeling down? Stressed, anxious or depressed? I can help. We all have our "stuff" - even aside from the current pandemic, life can be hard. Pressure of work, relationship difficulties, painful memories or trauma, feelings of worthlessness, difficulty sleeping: modern life can feel overwhelming. Just like our physical health, everyone has times when their mental wellbeing is not at its best.
I believe that mental health difficulties are meaningful and understandable reactions to painful life events and situations, and so these are best treated with compassion, curiosity and respect. In this way, we may not only overcome problems, but gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and our values, leading to a more balanced, fulfilling and enjoyable life. With a warm, caring approach to creating safe and reflective relationships, I can offer brief, focused therapy to build coping skills and overcome specific problems, or more in-depth work to build insight and release ingrained ways of being.
Would you like to make better sense of your life? I offer support so you can develop the tools to create meaning and increase psychological well-being.
