I understand that sometimes life can leave us finding it difficult to cope or to make sense of things at a challenging time. This can lead to feeling overwhelmed by emotions such as anger, frustration, anxiety, loneliness, or sadness. Or perhaps you are having difficulty in your day-to-day relationships either at work, with friends, partner or child? Or you may be having difficulty dealing with mental health problems. Maybe you feel stuck or unable to control your negative feelings or there may be something from the past which is bothering you and you feel you would like to explore this further to make sense of where you are now.

I work with individuals and couples ( multi-partner relationships) and specialise in those experiencing anxiety, ADHD, and relationship challenges.
Most of us can go through times in life when something doesn’t feel quite right, or when we have a sense of being “stuck.” This may show up as anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, low mood, or difficulties in relationships. You might also notice feeling emotionally numb, being self-critical, struggling with decision making, or experiencing recurring conflict.
Either way, we can explore this together at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

While I have experience of working with many art mediums as well as in eco-therapy with the natural world: I appreciate how daunting it might feel to someone less familiar with art materials and creative processes. You choose the medium you work in. You do not have to be good at art to do this. We can also work with nature indoors or outdoors.

Privately Carrying More Than Anyone Knows
You may appear capable and self-aware, yet inwardly feel anxious, depleted, disconnected or stuck in painful patterns.
Perhaps you overgive in relationships, silence your needs, doubt yourself or feel responsible for everyone else.
I offer a warm, relational and deeply attuned space to explore what sits beneath these patterns with compassion and care.
Therapy is not about becoming someone else. It is about returning to yourself beneath survival patterns that no longer serve you.

I currently have availability Mondays - Thursdays without a waiting list.
I provide a safe space for Talking Therapy and EMDR Therapy sessions. EMDR Therapy can be helpful for PTSD and Trauma, whether a one off incident or chronic trauma such as childhood abuse or neglect, grief, self-esteem, chronic pain, anxiety, sexual assault, childhood neglect, domestic abuse and more. Mapping out traumas and your history we find the best way to work. With the use of bilateral stimulation, you can process these traumas, realising this is part of your trauma history but it will no longer disturb you. This in turn allows you to move forward.

I work with people from all walks of life, but most of my work is with trans clients, and I specialise in working with older trans adults on issues around identity, parenting, ageing and childhood trauma.
I offer a lived experience perspective when working with queer, trans and autistic clients. I have been in the client's chair, and I know the value of therapy that is genuinely culturally fluent. My work is often creative, visual and quirky - a bit 'off beat', reflecting my desire to approach things differently for my clients.

I am an online neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ affirming therapist. I help those with anxiety, depression, trauma, overwhelm and more. My sessions are a place where clients can unmask and be their authentic selves, and Autistic/ADHD clients can stim freely without judgment. I work with all neurotypes but my experience and training has enabled me to work effectively with neurodivergent children and adults (ASD/ADHD). I am aware of sensory overload, overstimulation and autistic burnout and for those struggling with eye contact I can easily adapt to suit clients needs.

Parenting Counsellors
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.
When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.
How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
