I am able to offer Face to Face sessions in Glastonbury and remote sessions via Zoom.
Are you experiencing distress or dissatisfaction in your life no matter how hard you try? This may have been going on for a long time or perhaps you're left feeling out-of-control after a loved-one dying, a big change happening in your life, or maybe illness striking you or somebody that you care for? Perhaps nothing has happened, but you feel stuck and unhappy with your life and relationships? Are you exhausted taking care of others needs whilst ignoring your own? Whatever your situation you would like to find greater ease within yourself and have more satisfying relationships with other people in your life.

I offer in person and walk and talk therapy in the Glastonbury area and online world wide.
The ideal condition to start therapy is simply the awareness that something is wrong or out of balance in ourselves, that things aren't working out how we feel they should or we are blocked in some way from living the life we want or need. We get as much from counselling as we are prepared to put in, and we need the resolve to start on a journey of self discovery and healing that will lead through some difficult places in ourselves. But like the heroes of countless stories we learn how to walk this path by travelling on it, and what we can gain in self realisation and self acceptance is worth the difficulties we may encounter.

Hi, I'm Julie, and I am passionate about working with people who have experienced abuse or trauma, whether it be sexual, physical or emotional. When we experience trauma we lose part of who we truly are because of the after effects, such as anxiety, depression, panic attacks, flashbacks and dissociation (when we feel distanced from our emotions or ‘spaced out’, as if we’re living on autopilot). I love helping people rediscover who they really are by creating an environment in which they feel safe and completely accepted. I don't analyse you but with careful listening will know what we need to work on.

Life can be incredibly painful and confusing. There can be times we don’t know what to do or where to turn. Counselling and psychotherapy can offer a safe space to try and work things out and find a better, more fulfilling way of life. It can sometimes helpful to look at the past, to help us better understand And heal the present. I have over 20 years experience. I also work for BACP - British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy in the Professional Standards team.

Through open and honest dialogue I work with you to explore your inner world and uncover the root of your struggles, ultimately helping you to find new ways of being and relating to yourself and others. My approach is to create a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. Therapy is a process where we work together to uncover the underlying patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back. By fostering self-awareness and promoting self-acceptance I help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.

I offer online video sessions and in-person therapy from my BA6 office, with daytime and evening availability.
I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist offering a warm, relational and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and at your own pace. People often come to me feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or stuck in repeating patterns, particularly in relationships. You may be struggling with self-esteem, identity, or the impact of past experiences that still feel present. You don’t need to have the right words — we can begin wherever you are. I work collaboratively, believing therapy is most effective when you feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted.

Hello and welcome to my page. I recognise the courage it takes to approach a therapist and would like to help you. Over ten years of practising, therapy has shown me time and time again how people can overcome their problems successfully and live fulfilled and happy lives. In today's pressured world, mental health problems are all too common. Maybe you're struggling with depression or stress or the problem is anxiety, or trauma, or grief. Perhaps you're struggling with a habit that started off as a pleasure but turned into an addiction over lockdown. Whatever the mental health problem, talking therapy can help.

I work face to face in my rural practice with ample parking or online if this suits you better during weekdays or early evenings.
I believe we are all products of our upbringing and experiences. Sometimes, this can lead to struggling with anxiety, low self esteem, confusion and not feeling good in relationships. I can work with you to unravel what this is all about and help you find new ways of coping and moving forwards. We can talk or use creative methods to facilitate this discovery process. I work with young people, adults and couples and the work is all driven by you and on your terms. I offer a free, initial meeting so you can decide if I am the right Counsellor for you. I also offer Clinical Supervision for other Professional Counsellors and Trainees.

In my approach to psychological therapy, I will work with you to first understand your struggles and to recognise how well-trodden paths often keep us stuck, repeating the pains of the past. Finding the words, and feeling the unconscious, together we can navigate our way to new grounds and start to pave a way to more hopeful, rewarding and empowering futures. I use a number of tools to help you grow and eventually unearth the healing within your heart. At times, we will simply talk, at other times, we will draw out maps to help us find our way through the fog, and beyond this, we will learn through new exercises and experiences.

I offer therapy sessions in-person, online via video and telephone.
I work in a way that’s person-centred, integrative, inclusive and relational. I always place your needs and values at the centre of our therapeutic work, while embracing your freedom and autonomy. I take an affirmative approach in encouraging you to bring any and all parts of your unique self; I take care to not pathologise or criticise you. I work very relationally, and I believe therapy can only be effective if there’s a strong therapeutic relationship at the heart of it. I’m interested in exploring what goes on in the therapeutic process and how this may mirror dynamics you’re experiencing in your wider life and relationships.
