If you are thinking about finding a psychologist, chances are something difficult is going on in your life and it is getting harder and harder to deal with it. Unsatisfactory relationships, anxiety, not coping with stress, are very common reasons for getting in touch with me. Know that you don't have to go through these difficulties alone. I am a Polish psychologist in the UK and I offer consultations both, online and face to face in Reading and Slough in Berkshire. I specialise in working with people experiencing anxiety, life crises and who have difficulties with having a satisfactory like. I also offer consultations for parents.

I want to help everyone I work with build a life worth living. Whether that’s because life is not what you want it to be due to trauma, specific mental health challenges, you are just wanting to have a place to explore your ways of thinking. Life can throw us one of its many curveballs, it’s okay to be overwhelmed, left feeling confused and stuck because by it as we “did everything how we were meant to.” I hold the belief that everyone is OK and the relationship built between Therapist and Client holds the key to creating change for the better. I want to help give you back your power to control and enjoy your life to its fullest.

By combining my therapeutic models, I am able to provide a unique approach for each client which will help you to gain insight into your issue, enabling you to bring about change. The therapy lies in the realationship between the client and counsellor, where trust and respect is developed and at the centre of each session, and is integral in the way I work. I have experience working with adults and young people, helping with a wide range of issues. Therapy offered can be either short or long term at flexible times during the day and evening depending on the needs/requirements for each client.

My Clients over the last 18 years have ranged from having simple symptoms ( i.e. sleep disturbances, anxiety about interviews or social anxiety ) to severe symptoms (i.e. severe depression, insomnia, PTSD, OCD, Borderline Personality or sexual abuse). My clients are looking for tools that will help them reduce or eliminate those symptoms but they are also wanting to develop long term functional habits that will help them lead a healthier life. Most of my clients are highly functional but they are struggling with emotional issues in their relationships with childhood abuse, addictions, fears, self-esteem and others.

Feeling stuck can be so disempowering, and taking the courage to begin the process of counselling can feel like a giant leap, yet it takes just a small step to reach out and make contact. If you feel you need a safe place to explore your issues and associated feelings in a non-judgmental environment then counselling is for you. We, as human beings, tend to look for and repeat patterns of being, and create coping mechanisms that at one time, may have been useful but have now become potentially destructive to our general wellbeing, as well as the significant relationships in our lives, careers and hopes for the future.

People come to me because current or past events and relationships have left them struggling emotionally in their day to day lives. Often, clients don’t know exactly what’s wrong until we start working that out. Clients who work with me describe feeling like a weight has lifted and that they understand themselves so much better. I believe the relationship I build with clients is a key element of therapy, so it’s important you feel comfortable with me. I aim to build a trusting relationship through our work together whilst creating a confidential space where you feel safe and understood.

Twenty years ago I was asking many of the same questions as the couples I have specialised in helping for the past 15 years. How did we get here? Why do the same arguments, silences and disappointments keep repeating despite wanting things to be different? My own therapy led me into this work. Today I help couples understand what is happening between them, step out of the patterns keeping them stuck and build stronger, more connected relationships. I am an experienced psychotherapist with advanced training in relationship therapy.

I specialise in domestic abuse, child-to-parent violence (CAPVA), and relationship breakdown, including divorce, separation, family court, or workplace stress.
Life can feel overwhelming at times—whether from anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, cultural pressures, or simply feeling “stuck.” Counselling offers a confidential, non-judgemental space to slow down, reflect, and begin making sense of things. Like the Japanese art of kintsugi—where broken pottery is repaired with gold—therapy can help us see that our cracks are part of our story. Healing doesn’t mean erasing what has happened, but instead finding new strength and meaning in the patterns we may have carried for too long. With support, those places of pain can become places of resilience, authenticity, and growth.

I am an experienced relationship therapist, supporting a wide range of couples and individuals to address their challenges and repair, grow and thrive. My core psychodynamic approach helps us understand patterns of behaviour based on past experiences and relationships. This unlocks valuable insight into why your interactions might feel repetitive or ‘stuck’, leading to greater understanding and empathy. I also use active strategies in the here-and-now to resolve conflict and improve communication. We will consider pre-existing strengths and resilience in your relationship, and use these to help you move forwards more positively.

A friendly, experienced counsellor. My clients range from people with specific issues like grief and relationship breakdown to people who just don't feel right. Mental health can affect every part of our lives. It is therefore important to get help as soon as possible. I used to be a family solicitor, and so I specialise in helping clients through relationship issues and breakdowns. This is both individually and as a couple. This involves working through issues like anger, anxiety and depression as well as low self confidence.

Divorce Counsellors
How does therapy for people affected by a divorce work?
Individuals may feel a number of emotions following a divorce, such as shock, guilt, grief, anger, and fear. Therapists offer a non-judgmental space for individuals to talk about what they’ve experienced and process their emotions. Therapists will help clients develop coping strategies. They can also help a client rebuild their sense of self and self-worth and talk about what a happier future might look like.

What’s the most common type of therapy following a divorce?
There are several types of therapy that may be useful for divorce, including cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment, solution-focused brief, and mindfulness-based therapies. Many therapy types are talk-therapy based, which is typically the most popular option for individuals dealing with divorce. Cognitive behavioural therapy is a widely-used talk therapy, however, there’s no specific therapy type that’s designed to help people with divorce, and different types will work depending on the person.

When should an individual seek help due to a divorce?
When the feelings of a divorced individual, or an individual going through the process of divorce, begin to disrupt healthy daily functioning, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not performing at work due to problems with anxiety or motivation, if they’re no longer seeing friends due to feelings of shame, or if they’re not properly taking care of themselves as a result of depression, speaking to a professional could help.

How do you encourage someone to go to therapy due to a divorce?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the individual while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Sharing how the individual appears to be suffering, and what effects it has on them or on their children, should be done with compassion and empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
