On the outside, life might look okay — but inside, it feels like something’s off. Maybe you’re overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in the same frustrating cycles, or just tired of holding it all together. You might not even know exactly why things feel hard — just that they do.
I help individuals and couples untangle the inner noise, break free from old patterns, and reconnect — with themselves and each other. Whether you're navigating stress, disconnection, conflict, or a sense that life just isn’t working the way it should, therapy can offer real change — and real relief.

If you are looking for support with anxiety, you are in the right place.
I am an Anxiety Counsellor working with both adults and young people (aged 13+).
Anxiety can really get in the way. It can appear anywhere, at any time: at school, at work, in relationships, during pregnancy, or alongside ill health. It can show up after a loss or bereavement, or following a traumatic event. Sometimes it appears for no clear reason at all. Anxiety can range from mildly unsettling to completely overwhelming, and it can take the joy out of everyday life.

Hello, I am Nadine. I will briefly introduce myself. I am a mother of four with a personal experience of ADHD, and I know first-hand the transformative power of therapy. Diagnosed four years ago, my journey led me to understand the profound impact of talking therapy on mental health and well-being. This personal insight fuels my passion for helping others navigate their unique paths and their journey toward empowerment and healing. I am a pluralistic practitioner and what this means is that the sessions are built around the person's individual needs. The sessions have no set agenda but we will work in collaboration.

I work primarily with CBT (trained at degree level) alongside MBCT, ACT, and person-centred work, with specialist training in trauma and CBT for Insomnia.
The people who come to us arrive with the full range of adult difficulty — anxiety that has been wearing them down, depression, the after-effects of trauma, relationships that are not working, neurodivergent adults, LGBTQIA+ clients looking for genuinely affirming practice, and senior professionals carrying pressure they cannot put down anywhere else. What our team of more than 90 qualified counsellors and therapists offers is something specific: deliberate matching. You are not assigned to whoever happens to be available. You are matched to the practitioner whose training, specialism, and approach actually fit your needs.

Whilst I don’t guarantee that these feelings will disappear completely, what I hope to do is help people to learn to manage them better and use many ideas from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Existential Psychotherapy in order to do this.
I have a particular interest in working with individuals who are experiencing intrusive thoughts and difficult feelings around death (their own or others). This experience is commonly known as death anxiety or thanatophobia. The foundation also specialises in working with people experiencing related difficulties such as being preoccupied by issues of transcience, impermanence, change, ageing and loss. They may also be afflicted by a sense of purposelessness or meaninglessness. People experiencing such difficulties to a significant degree might be said to be experiencing existential or philosophical OCD.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), but I do integrate "third wave" approaches such as compassion focussed therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy into my practice.
You may be experiencing difficulties with worry, negative self-talk or confidence. You may have noticed a change in how you’re reacting to things such as checking more or avoiding certain situations. People often describe this as a vicious cycle that’s hard to break.
Whether it’s been going on for a while or something new, we work together to understand what your unhelpful cycles look like and how we can break them by creating healthier habits and patterns of thinking. This helps alleviate symptoms of anxiety or depression, leaving you better equipped to manage difficult emotions.

Appreciates the collaborative bond between you and me, working towards establishing a genuine therapeutic environment rooted in mutual trust and acceptance.
We encounter various kinds of difficulties and challenges every day. At times, it can be challenging to open up to others, therefore leading to feelings of confusion and a sense of powerlessness. Recently, many individuals from Hong Kong who have relocated to the UK have faced setbacks in their social, professional, or academic pursuits. Such challenges often stem from uncertainties surrounding self-image and self-worth while adapting to a new environment. If you find yourself in a similar situation, exploring yourself through psychological counseling can provide you with more effective means to understand and address these emotions

I work with children, young people and their families, often when things are feeling difficult or overwhelming. Some of the reasons families have worked with me include: support to understand and manage feelings of anxiety, depression or frustration; difficulties with emotion-regulation; and difficulties within family relationships, including parent-infant and parent-child relationships.

How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
