I am a fully insured and BACP-registered Integrative Therapist and Supervisor, as well as a member of the Westcountry Association of Counsellors (WAC). I have been in professional practice for 11 years, and work with 18+ individuals and groups using a variety of different counselling models and methods. Although I would broadly describe myself as a 'Person-Centred Therapist', my methods are entirely client-led and not dictated by any personal preference in terms of therapeutic model.

I'm a relational integrative therapist meaning, the relationship is the therapy. It also means I use different types of therapy to meet your needs because, you are unique. Integrative therapy helps you become a more integrated whole person, better able to experience the entire range of your behaviour, emotions and thoughts as well as improving your relationship with yourself and others. Neuroplasticity continues throughout the lifespan which means that change and improvement in the way we feel is always possible and therapy is the best way to achieve this.

My work is undertaken within a spiritual framework. I am able to offer a safe place where you can be heard, thus enabling you to look at issues, feelings and emotions. I will give you the support and clarity you require to empower you to make the changes in your life you feel you’d like to make. I am able to work in a creative way this can often help when you feel that word are just not enough to express what you are feeling. I am able to work not only with the problem on top but also with any underlying problem or pattern of behavior you may wish to change.

Life can be a rough ride. Keeping the balance and moving forward can be a challenge. It can involve stress, anxiety, depression and much more. But I believe through psychological therapies we can learn and, in some cases even master, the art of managing life successfully. To achieve this, I practise an integrative approach that draws strength from various therapies in the field. I am a qualified Psychotherapist at a Doctoral level and I feel confident to deal with complexity . My natural inclination is to help people in need. My recent training and qualifications do enhance my inclination especially to those psychologically unwell.

I will guide you gently through how we might work together. We will discuss confidentiality and answer any and all questions you might have in a relaxed space. If you would like me to, I could help in determining your goals in therapy and will make a plan to achieve these together, in the form of a type of “contract” that we work together on. Be prepared to laugh, cry, stretch, grow and reach goals you might have thought were impossible.

It was Mr Miyagi in the movie “The Karate Kid” who said, “You know, but you do not understand.” We are often aware of the feelings and thoughts we are having, the behaviours they are causing and the distress that can generate. We can even know the traumas that have happened that we can attribute them to. But we can’t understand or articulate them enough to change them and heal. Perhaps this is the way you feel? Maybe you have been struggling with anxiety, depression or both for some time and everyday life is more challenging than you want it to be? Maybe you’ve experienced a traumatic event that you can’t seem to get over?

You might be concerned about your child for a number of reasons. The stress of life, Depression Anxiety Trauma or behavoural issues are all signs that something is needing attention. Parents need to understand their children and to respond in ways that might be more effective. Giving children space to express and communicate from their own perspective can also be of help. I have many years experience of working in the NHS in CAMHS and want to be able to reach those who are not offered a service or where the wait is very long.

Hi, thank you for visiting my profile. We all struggle at times with difficult and overpowering emotions. There can often be underlying reasons which we're not able to control or fully understand without help. Together we would look at your unique experience of life and how that is affecting both yourself and those around you. Sessions appeal to those looking to create changes, whilst knowing that a safe and kind therapeutic relationship will provide support and guidance along the way. Ultimately, we seek to find relief and peace from renewed personal balance and healthy forward momentum.

Sometimes as adults it's difficult to put our feelings into words. This is the same for children and young people, often they do not have the vocabulary to talk about what is going on for them. For children and adolescents play and creative arts therapy can be one of the most powerful ways to explore their difficulties and understand them, often allowing them to alter their perspective and adapt to the difficulties they are facing. As a parent you may know something isn't quite right for your child, in sessions I offer creative opportunities for your child to make sense of their feelings and become happier individuals.

I have worked in the NHS for over 20 years and I realise that therapy can be a new and unusual approach for people. I often work with folk who are finding things hard, and need a neutral form of support. I can offer direct support, teaching and practice in cognitive and behavioural techniques, or relaxation and mindfulness ideas to help. The goals that a person wants to work towards might be crystal clear to them, or they might refine these as we work together.

They need a safe, non-judgemental space to work through these challenges with empathy and support. Their goals are to gain self awareness, improve emotional well-being, develop healthier coping mechanisms and strengthen relationships. Ultimately, they want to feel empowered, find clarity and create lasting positive change in their lives.
