Making the first move to see a counsellor can feel like a big step, especially if this is the first time you've done it. Perhaps you feel like you’re worrying more than usual at the moment? Or maybe there is a specific issue on your mind that you can't seem to get past. Perhaps you've had enough of feeling anxious, or you're feeling low and 'stuck'. When we have the opportunity to share how we feel in a safe, confidential environment it can help us to develop a toolkit of coping strategies to deal with times when things get tough.

Are you ready for change but unsure of where to start?
Are you looking to process the past and build a future that feels right for you.
I know how tough it is to talk about the painful things that have brought you here. My aim is that counselling is the space that you can melt into each week, where you can be honest and let it out, where you know that someone has got you!
Do you feel like you’ve run out of things to try? You’ve read the books, you know about coping skills, you’ve talked it out with someone before and nothing is shifting.

We all feel overwhelmed at times: it might be the breakdown of a relationship, lack of meaning in our life, daily struggles or those horrible feelings of anxiety that just won’t go away. We might be feeling unhappy but we’re not sure why, we might feel life isn’t going the way we want it to whilst everyone else seems to be doing ok. Talking openly and feeling truly heard can be life changing: we can say all those things that keep going round in our heads, the issues that keep coming back time and again, and work towards understanding what’s going on, make changes and find some peace. Isn't that what we all want and deserve?

I'm Jerry and I practice as a Mindfulness Based Cognitive psychological trainer. I have worked with many clients including, Olympic & Paralympic athletes, pro golfers, pro footballers, university sports, pro cycling, creatives & leaders. I train people in how to enhance their self-belief for: performance optimisation, emotional regulation, resilience & effective decision making. Pressure in performance environments is a certainty. How we perceive pressure, determines our response. We can choose how to think about pressure and this depends on our level of self-belief, the essential ingredient when navigating demanding environments.

Our early experiences may continue to influence how we feel, behave, and relate to others in the present. Often, we’re only partially aware of these internal dynamics. Through therapy, we work together to bring unconscious patterns into awareness, addressing anxiety and the problems of relatedness.
I listen at depth, without judgment, creating a safe and thoughtful environment where you can explore both the apparent and the unspoken. Therapy is a space where you can speak freely, reflect deeply, and begin to understand the inner patterns that shape your life.
