Hi, I’m Mark. I believe everyone has the capacity to live a meaningful, fulfilling life—and sometimes we just need the right space to explore what that looks like. I'm proficient in the use of the Rewind technique. My approach to therapy is grounded in the understanding that emotional and mental wellbeing are essential to overall health. But I also know that therapy doesn’t need to be full of jargon. At its heart, it’s about connection, safety, and support. I’m here to to walk alongside you as you explore where you are, where you’d like to be, and what’s getting in the way. Sound good?

My focus in therapy is on a person's life and relationships, past and present. I regard symptoms or behaviour patterns as expressions of distress connected to life circumstances. My style is fairly active, but I'm careful to listen and check what I have heard. I pay attention to a person's narrative, including successes as well as difficulties. I am happy to share knowledge that might help my client or point to resources. Most of my work is relatively short term (12 sessions or less). Typically I start off with a questionnaire which includes client ideas about the goals of our work together.

Maybe your anxious or depressed and are finding it hard to do the things you used to love, and it's difficult spending time with the people you call family and friends as you currently feel so disconnected from them. Maybe you are feeling extremely sad and broken over a heartbreak, a death of a relative or a different loss such as an identity. Maybe you cannot understand what happened to you in the past but know at some level it has played a part in where you find yourself today. Psychodynamic therapy can help, and I would love in partnership to walk with you on that journey.

You may be considering psychotherapy for a specific concern, or 'symptom', that you would like to address (e.g. anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, etc.). Or you may have a specific question, or life transition, that needs attention. You may find you're repeating the same 'patterns' over and again. It may be that you have a general sense of uneasiness, meaninglessness, or a lack of playfulness in life. Or perhaps you want to get to know yourself more deeply and experience life more fully. Of course, you may also feel unsure about why exactly you'd like to talk to a psychotherapist, but still want to.

Maybe you're constantly on edge, snapping more than you’d like, or stuck in a cycle of overthinking worst-case scenarios. The pressure you put on yourself is relentless, and switching off feels almost impossible. Even when things are “fine,” it doesn't feel that way.
I’m Mark, an integrative counsellor based in Bromley. I work clients who are driven, capable, and often seen as the one others rely on, but who are quietly struggling with stress, anxiety, anger, or just a sense that something isn't right.

Sometimes life is painful and it's all we can do to just get out of bed and go through the motions until it passes.
Things happen and we often carry the pain and trauma of past negative experiences with us into the present.
I have found therapy to be invaluable on my own journey and feel privileged to be able to work as a therapist myself.

I am a London-based UKCP and BACP accredited Integrative fully qualified Psychotherapist. I am also a trained coach so weave these two skills into my practice. I specialise in relationships – the most critical being the relationship we have with ourselves, but also our partner, siblings, parents, our children, friends and work colleagues. I also specialise in helping people in highly demanding jobs. I used to work in corporate consultancy and so know first-hand the stresses of such an unforgiving career. Thus, I am more likely to ‘get’ the struggles of what it is like in your role.

Hi, I am Jack, a trauma-specialised psychotherapist based in the beautiful mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia), and I see people both in-person and online.
First and foremost, I am curious and non-judgmental. I work on the premise that we have no bad parts, but we can become terribly unbalanced, which can cause a huge amount of suffering. By removing judgment and prioritising curiosity, we can explore and work with all of you. If you have not experienced this before, it can be incredibly validating and releasing to be properly seen, and from this, deep and profound change can happen.

Male Counsellors
As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?
There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.
How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?
Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.
Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?
Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.
Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?
Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
