You may appear to be coping on the outside while inside feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure about the direction of your life. Perhaps you are facing anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, or a period of change. Many people come to therapy when something no longer feels sustainable, and they want space to reflect, understand themselves more deeply, and find a different way forward. You may be looking for a therapist who offers both emotional depth and practical support, and who understands how life experiences, relationships, and inner patterns shape how we feel today.

Starting therapy can feel daunting. Reaching the point where you want support, and finding someone you trust, takes courage. You may be looking for a therapist who can offer understanding while also being honest & direct. Someone who will take you seriously and work alongside you. I work with individuals & couples when connection feels strained or has broken down, and when you feel unseen, unheard, or disconnected. I pay close attention to relational patterns, responsibility, and the impact of wider social & cultural influences, including ideas about gender and power. I support reflection and change at a pace that feels manageable.

My practice is relational, creative and inclusive, integrating transpersonal and humanistic models rooted in psychodynamic principles.
Therapy is one of the most positive things we can do for ourselves. It may seem like something other people do. But life isn’t easy and when it feels particularly overwhelming, talking to someone who listens without judgement, can really help us to trust ourselves and find perspective, meaning and confidence to enable a way forward. Clients I work with often find themselves in challenging and sometimes distressing situations and need a safe and confidential space to explore - at their own pace - what is going on for them, to rebuild, find healthier ways of coping and to experience hope.

My ideal client is someone who is motivated to improve their situation and open to self-reflection, even if they’re feeling unsure or overwhelmed at first. They may be dealing with stress, uncertainty, life transitions, or challenges that are holding them back from feeling their best. They need support, clarity, and practical guidance, along with a space where they feel understood and not judged. Their goal is to gain confidence, develop healthier habits or perspectives, and make meaningful progress toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. Ultimately, they want change because they’re ready to invest in themselves.

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in repeating patterns—whether in relationships, work, or their inner lives. You may be struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, stress, addiction, eating disorders, or a sense of losing direction during a life transition. Often, you know something needs to change but feel unsure how to move forward. You want greater understanding, relief from distress, and a clearer, more balanced way ahead.

Many of my clients are expert copers. People who have been "getting on with it" and "pushing through" all of their lives. They may have lives that look great from the outside, and feel lonely, disconnected and overwhelmed on the inside. Eventually that way of living becomes unsustainable. My clients want some inner peace and calm, connection with others, and freedom and confidence in being themselves. They leave therapy with a greater understanding of their lives, compassion for their struggles, and joy in who they have revealed themselves to be. I love the work - whether its with individuals, couples, triads, or groups.

My training in the Integrative and Transpersonal approach at Re-Vision enables me to tailor my methods to meet your needs.
Feeling lost? What if you could journey back to the parts of yourself that have been forgotten? Together, we can explore the lost aspects of your identity that can contribute to who you are today. Embarking on a journey of self-discovery involves peeling away layers of hidden rules, ancestral patterns, and past traumas. In this process, we uncover the "buried gold" within—those precious sparks of your true self that may have been hidden away to fit in or avoid rejection.

I work with high-functioning individuals and couples who are struggling to shift their emotional and relationship patterns. I help unravel the deeper patterns, unmet needs, fears and desires driving persistent cycles. You might notice the same conflicts in relationships; perhaps one of you pursues while the other withdraws, leaving you feeling lonely and more like roommates than lovers. I help make sense of what’s happening beneath surface behaviours, so you can develop the tools you need for change. You'll learn how to feel more emotional intimacy, rebuild trust, improve communication, and be at ease in yourself and relationships.

Transpersonal Counsellors
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilise the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
