Welcome You might be struggling with challenges such as anxiety, low mood, stress, grief, or relationship difficulties, or simply feel you don’t quite fit in and that no one really gets you, which can make the world feel harsh or isolating. Life can feel complex and demanding, and the pressures of work, family, and not being able to fully be your true self can be hard to navigate. Starting therapy can feel daunting, but simply taking the time to find a therapist who feels right for you is already a meaningful step towards happiness.

Hi, I am Shoshana. I am an Art Psychotherapist. Whether you are struggling to cope with current events or longer term unresolved feelings, I can help you explore the meaning of these emotions and how to process through them to become healthier and happier in yourself. By using art in the therapy, we can explore deep rooted causes for why we feel the way we do. Art helps us reach our unconscious voice that wants to be heard. Through developing a relationship in a safe and confidential space, I will help you explore what it is that you need to process.

"Dianne helped my husband and I bridge seemingly impossible gaps in our understanding of each other and ability to communicate despite considerable differences. Dianne took us from a place where we encountered apparently unresolvable emotional blockages daily, from a place of frustration and chronic misunderstanding to a place where we were able to appreciate each other's feelings and show love to one another increasingly unreservedly. She was skilfully professional, without ever faltering in compassion or humanity. She has given us the tools we needed to succeed in our marriage and we are hugely grateful for her help. " Annon

Welcome. Whatever has brought you to scroll these profiles, the right therapeutic relationship can help you be heard, seen and understood. The journey often starts in a place of discomfort: anxiety, bereavement, feeling lost, stuck or frustrated with repeated patterns of behaviour that you can't seem to shift (in life and relationships), physical or mental health problems or the pain of old wounds that haven't healed. These crisis moments are often a call to personal growth and development, and sometimes to find a new path in life. I can offer you a safe and non-judgemental space to explore your situation and begin to move forward.

You may feel trapped in cycles of anxiety, burnout or overthinking — holding everything together while feeling disconnected inside. Maybe you’ve tried talking therapies like CBT, yet the stress or unease still returns. Many people come to me wanting deeper relief from trauma, relationship patterns, or a nervous system that never quite relaxes. We work gently with what’s beneath the surface, using EMDR, parts-work (IFS), and mindfulness to help you rebuild trust in yourself and move from survival into calmer, more connected ways of living.

Hi, my name is Andrew. I'm a Psychodynamic Counsellor (since 2018). Psychodynamic counselling is a relationship where the things you can’t (yet!) think or say—your anxieties, defences, long-standing patterns of loving and hating—can begin to show themselves in the here-and-now, especially in how you experience your therapist. By noticing and putting words to these unconscious “inner object” relationships as they come alive between you and your therapist, you slowly integrate previously split-off parts of yourself, soften persecutory fear and guilt, and build a more stable capacity for trust, ambivalence, and care.

I value creativity, curiosity and compassion and aim to bring those to our work as we collaborate. I want people to feel like they can bring their full selves to our sessions and to create a safe space together that is ultimately client-led. I practise an integrative approach (psychodynamic and person-centred) and also have an interest in transpersonal psychology and Jung’s work on synchronicity and the collective unconscious.

Many people come to therapy with me carrying something familiar — anxiety, self-doubt, a sense of pressure, or an ongoing unease — even if they’re not sure why it keeps showing up or why it doesn’t seem to shift. Often, people can recognise what’s happening for them, yet feel frustrated that it continues despite their best efforts. In our work together, how you relate to yourself often comes into focus first, alongside patterns such as overthinking, people-pleasing, or holding yourself to high standards, and questions about identity, belonging, and expectations around how life is supposed to look, and why it no longer fits.

It’s 2a.m. and you’ve woken up again. You feel like you’ve missed years of living and don’t know who you are anymore. You’re in pain, frustrated, angry, and feel totally alone. You want to talk with someone who won’t judge you but wonder how you could trust someone enough to do so. None of your friends understand. I work with people who experience chronic illness (diagnosed and not) and who feel really misunderstood and alone. I have a special interest in women’s health (endometriosis, fibroids and PCOS) and the impact of a health system that seems designed to not want to help.

Bisexual Counsellors
What is bisexual-affirming therapy?
Bisexual-affirming therapy is a type of mental health support that fully affirms and reflects a client’s bisexual identity. It is rooted in acceptance and does not attempt to change or question an individual’s orientation. In this type of therapy, clients work with a therapist who understands the unique experiences of bisexual people. This support is especially important, as research shows that bisexual individuals face higher rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation compared to other groups. Bisexual-affirming therapy acknowledges that bisexual individuals may encounter specific stressors—such as invalidation, relationship challenges, and minority stress—that require specialised understanding and intervention. Many therapists also provide couples therapy for bisexual partners, helping them navigate relationship dynamics, communication challenges, or external stressors that may impact their relationship. While not required, some clients prefer working with bisexual therapists who may bring personal insight to the therapeutic relationship. However, a non-bisexual therapist with strong training and a genuine commitment to affirmation can be equally effective. The most important factor is finding a therapist who understands how identity impacts mental health and can create a space of trust and respect.

What can a bisexual therapist help with?
Bisexual-affirming therapists can provide support across a wide range of concerns relevant to bisexual individuals. Whether through personal or professional experience, they often have specialised knowledge in areas such as the coming out process, navigating stereotypes, and dealing with common stressors. Relationship support is another key area of focus, as bisexual clients may face unique challenge when dating or maintaining relationships across genders. Affirming therapists can also help clients build coping strategies for managing discrimination or stigma. Additionally, many bisexual-affirming therapists can connect clients to other providers or community-based resources—such as bisexual support groups or LGBTQ+ organisations—that offer additional affirming spaces for connection. It's important to note that therapists provide can talk therapy and counseling services but do not prescribe medication—if medication is needed for conditions like depression or anxiety, they will coordinate care with a psychiatrist or primary care physician who can provide psychiatric medication management alongside therapeutic support.

How do I find a bisexual therapist?
The Psychology Today online directory is a helpful tool for finding bisexual-affirming therapists. You can use search filters to identify therapists who specialise in LGBTQ+ care and work specifically with bisexual clients. You can also filter by clinical specialties, therapeutic approaches, accepted insurance, session costs, and languages spoken to find the right fit. During initial consultations or early sessions, ask potential therapists about their specific training in bisexual-affirming care, their experience with LGBTQ+ clients, and their therapeutic approach to identity-related concerns. An effective bisexual-affirming therapist will demonstrate genuine understanding of bisexual experiences, including awareness of the unique challenges facing bisexual individuals. You can also look for credentials or continuing education in areas such as LGBTQ+ mental health, trauma-informed care, and intersectionality.
