I work with clients facing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low mood, bereavement, childhood abuse, or relationship difficulties.
I provide counselling for adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of themselves or their direction in life. You might be struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or simply a sense that something isn’t quite right, even if you can’t yet put it into words. My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy, which means I believe that you are the expert on your own life. I aim to provide a warm, accepting, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.

I have a keen interest in working with complex or stuck grief/ bereavement and trauma issues.
Hi I am Lowri. I am a Psychotherapist with over 20 years experience working with people with a range of mental health and life struggles. I have been practicing as a CBT therapist for apx 15 years. I use CBT and EMDR as my main mode of therapy but use an integrative approach, drawing on elements of ACT, CFT, TA and Rogerian therapy. I appreciate that no two individuals or experiences are the same. Therefore, I strive to offer an individualised flexible approach, to help you feel supported to take important but often scary steps towards change, regaining inner strength and control in your life.

Hi, I’m Nathan, thanks for being here. I’m an integrative therapist with experience across both the NHS and specialist community services. My work is grounded in understanding how life experiences, especially trauma can shape the way we think, feel, and respond to the world around us. As an integrative therapist, I don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach. I work flexibly and collaboratively, adapting how I work to suit you as an individual. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what you need, we can take things at your pace and begin to make sense of things together.

I'm an integrative relational psychotherapist and I use my experience of talking and relating to you in sessions to understand your way of being in the world, how you make sense of it and how you relate to others. Your journey is unique. Every time I've been listened to and understood I've come away feeling cared for and valued with a new sense of worth. I've learned that change is inevitable and that how I care for myself in the present affects my future.

I have worked with clients experiencing a range of challenges, including bereavement, bullying, loneliness, trauma, suicidality, homophobia, loss, anxiety and depression.
If you are looking for a safe, non-judgemental, welcoming space to explore what life has thrown at you then you have come to the right place. We all need time and a listening ear to help us deal with 'life' at some point. If you want to discover your true self then you have come to the right place. I came to private practice after many years working in post-16 education. In both careers I am privileged to help and be alongside people who are negotiating their next steps.

Sometimes life can feel out-of-control, confusing and painful. Perhaps you struggle with a sense of helplessness, or that your usual ways of coping don't work anymore. Perhaps you feel anxious or depressed. Maybe you have feelings that don't make sense or come out of nowhere. Or you might have always felt like an 'outsider', or that you find social interactions challenging or confusing. Maybe you just want to make a change to your life, but don't know where to start.

I work with adults, children and young people. My aim with all age groups is to work on and develop self belief, find coping strategies which work long after therapy has finished and to be able to positively navigate life’s challenges now and in the future.

How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
