I work from the understanding that human experience includes distress, conflict, and harm, and that avoiding these realities is neither helpful nor therapeutic. In the therapy room, I offer a non-judgemental, reflective space where clients can explore their experiences honestly and at their own pace. My role is not to impose interpretations or provide simplistic reassurance, but to listen carefully, ask meaningful questions, and support clients in developing insight, emotional awareness, and psychological resilience.I see therapy as a collaborative process grounded in respect, autonomy, and ethical practice.

My approach is rooted in person‑centred counselling, which means our work together is guided by you. You set the pace, you choose what feels important, and I walk alongside you as you make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

I support individuals and couples who feel overwhelmed, experience anxiety, or feel unheard. I help you explore questions such as:
-How can I feel like myself again? How can I build better, more fulfilling relationships?
My work focuses on both conscious and unconscious patterns in our lives and relationships, helping you gain a deeper understanding of what may be impacting you. I work with a range of challenges, including high anxiety, depression, and the effects of emotional neglect.
I provide practical tools and resources to strengthen boundaries, improve communication, and work with somatic (bodily) trauma responses using EMDR.

I work with adults and have a lengthy career history working across a range of issues. I predominantly use trauma therapy to help clients move forward but utilise a range of tools as required. In private practice I have worked with adult survivors of childhood abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence, sudden death, accidents and suicide of loved ones.
Clients may be unsure as to what their needs are, they simply want to feel better. We will explore this and identify targets for our work together.
The initial discussion/meeting helps us to establish if I'm the right therapist for your needs.

As a Highly Specialist Practitioner Psychologist, I have worked mainly with individuals who have suffered some kind of childhood trauma and I also offer assessments for ADHD & ASD. As a result I have found that individuals with personality issues, CPTSD, mood disorders and neurodiversity feel that I am the best fit for them. The types of clients who are drawn to me tend to have difficulties with rejection, abandonment, being judged and not accepted. I provide the space to counteract that, to develop self-empathy and self-compassion and to simply accept and learn to love who we truly are.

I believe therapy gives people a regular and confidential space to talk about their worries, problems or a chance to explore more about themselves; to gain a new or different perspective. This can lead to positive and proactive changes in how they feel about themselves, their relationships, as well as future-proofing their thinking and behaviour.
I am a UKCP accredited Integrative Psychotherapist and also a UKCP Accredited Integartive Child Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I have worked with children and adults since 2017.
