Most clients I work with are experiencing emotional or mental health challenges such as post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and panic attacks, depression or anger management as a result of past abuse or rejection.
My therapy is based on Gestalt, Person Centred and CBT approaches and my intervention focusses on what is happening to the clients in the present. Healing current symptoms will help them to be better equipped to understand past traumas. My aim is to support clients finding resources within self to deal with unfinished businesses and to reach happiness.

I work with many presenting issues, such as generalised anxiety disorder, low self esteem, anger management, bereavement, loneliness, trauma, depression, low self confidence, relationship issues and abuse
I offer a warm, empathic confidential space so whatever your concerns, I believe talking things through can make a real difference . I believe together we can look at ways of approaching what might initially seem overwhelming and find a pathway through. With children I use creative techniques such as sand play, drawings and symbols.

I am an experienced therapist who is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have experience of working with clients with a wide range of issues including trauma-related, anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, attachment and relationship issues.
In this often stressful world, increasing numbers of us look for help to manage the strains on our lives, whether these are caused by traumatic events or a build-up of anxieties over time. But seeking help through therapy can still be a daunting step. I aim to offer a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space for every client to talk about the pressures on their lives. I believe each client is a unique individual and draw on a variety of approaches, depending on what seems suitable. These include humanistic, person-centred, psychodynamic and existential.

Most people at some point in their lives will struggle with painful feelings or may feel overwhelmed by past or present experiences. These can make us feel lost, anxious, confused, helpless, distressed or angry, sometimes without us knowing why. Counselling is also not just for supporting people through a crisis. Many people come to counselling to explore and get a better understanding of themselves and their lives. Whatever you are experiencing, it can be difficult to explain how we feel to the people who are closest to us. Sometimes it is easier to talk to someone who is separate from your everyday life.
