Life is challenging and can feel like you’re on a hamster wheel of pressure, ‘have-tos’ and obligations. The more you do, the more the wheel spins, and the faster you descend into overwhelm, stress, anxiety, and burn-out. I can support you to overcome these challenges, as well as relational trauma and abuse, racial trauma, grief, low self-esteem, and life transitions. I offer a compassionate space for us to explore what you have experienced in life, how these experiences shaped you, and how you can make comfortable changes that support you to live a joyful, balanced, inspired, and fulfilling life.

Many of my clients are looking for meaning and a way through their current struggles, want strategies for expressing themselves and their needs in relationships, are rediscovering themselves after loss, separation or significant life changes, and live with minoritised identities such as neurodivergence, sex, gender and romantic identities.

I work with individuals who feel disconnected from their authentic selves - perhaps you're feeling stuck, lacking direction, or missing purpose in your life. You might be struggling with past experiences that still affect you today, finding it hard to stay motivated, or feeling uncertain about your future path. Many of my clients initially believe they are the problem, carrying the weight of their struggles internally. If you recognise yourself in these words, know that you're not alone, and that what you're experiencing deserves to be heard and understood.

At times, we can feel overwhelmed by the events and demands facing us. Life can feel daunting, and we can lose trust in ourselves to find a way forward. We can neglect ourselves and ignore areas of our lives that are painful. We may notice beliefs and habits we are stuck with that are holding us back from living life fully. Psychotherapy can help unravel the patterns we are caught in. Learning to pay attention to ourselves in a supportive space can help us to shift our perspective and find new directions. We can develop a compassionate relationship with ourselves that will help generate new energy to overcome our obstacles.

I offer online counselling for adult women experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, and difficulties with self-worth or relationships. Many of the women I work with come from culturally diverse backgrounds and have grown up navigating high expectations, responsibility, and pressure to be strong, often alongside unmet emotional needs. You may feel that no matter how much you do, it’s never enough, or feel disconnected from yourself beneath roles and expectations. Some women come to therapy feeling behind in life, unsure of their identity, or longing for more ease, meaning, and emotional connection.

Many of us carry deep wounds from our childhoods and early lives, often without being completely conscious of it. Still raw, or thickly scarred, these traumas can manifest in our adult lives, through sensitivity to hurt, inflexibility or unhelpful, self defeating behaviours. In time these unhealed wounds can wreak havoc in our lives and relationships. When this day comes we are left with two choices, either carry on as best we can, condemned to repeat the hurts of the past, or learn to give ourselves the care and love we have always deserved. Counselling offers an opportunity to begin a new life of healing and growth.

Sometimes it feels like everyone says that men have it easy. If that’s so, then why are three quarters of all suicides men? We've been taught to tough it out and to go it alone, and that it’s weak to ask for help when things get on top of us – even if there is someone we can turn to. I work with the issues around the difficulty of being male in a society that creates unrealistic and often contradictory ideals of masculinity that are impossible to live up to, and stops men connecting meaningfully with themselves and others.

Specialist therapy for faith deconstruction, religious harm and identity.
Something has shifted. Maybe it's your faith, your sense of self, or the framework you've built your whole life around. And now you're carrying that quietly - maybe it's showing up to relationships, family, work; while privately everything feels uncertain.
I specialise in supporting people through faith deconstruction and the identity questions that follow. What looks like anxiety or relationship problems is often something deeper: the painful process of outgrowing a life that no longer fits you.

How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.
How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.
Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilise the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.
What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
