I also volunteered for a charity who supported survivors of childhood sexual abuse, incest and rape.
I am passionate about working with teens and adults. I provide a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and whether you're dealing with grief or loss, processing childhood trauma or navigating the complexities of ADHD, then I’m here to help you explore them. As an empathetic and compassionate listener, I help create a space where you can work through your struggles at your own pace. I understand that the process of healing and self-discovery can be difficult, but with support, it is possible to work through feelings of grief, confusion, and frustration.

I offer counselling and hypnotherapy in Nottingham and online across the UK, specialising in anxiety, overthinking, and support for teenagers and adults who want practical, real-world change. Specialising in young adults navigating life transitions, feeling 'stuck' and identity.

My time as a Sexual Violence Advice worker and in the field of Domestic Violence has allowed me to hear and share many clients journeys to safety, healing and understanding.
Life can become too much sometimes. Maybe you’ve tried to carry on as normal, pushing things down or telling yourself “others have it worse.” But the truth is, if something is hurting you, it matters. I work with people who want to understand themselves better, especially how their early life or relationships have shaped how they show up in the world today. Perhaps you’ve reached a point where you’re asking, “Why do I feel like this?” or “Why does it keep happening?”—and you’re ready to find out.

On the outside, you may look as though you are coping well: capable, thoughtful, and perhaps even successful in the eyes of others. But inside, things may feel more tender or uncertain. You might find yourself doubting who you are, second-guessing your choices, or trying hard to be good, perfect, or liked. Perhaps you often feel you have to earn your place, or carry a quiet sense of rejection that never fully goes away. Beneath these feelings, there may be something deeper: shame. Even if that word does not quite fit for you, you may recognise what it feels like to not feel good enough, or to feel disconnected from others.

These are just some of the ways trauma can continue to affect wellbeing long after the abuse has ended.
Talking about your feelings can feel overwhelming or even frightening, and that’s completely understandable. When the time is right, opening up can gently reduce feelings of isolation and help ease guilt or shame. It can also support you to discover your own ways of coping with, managing, or moving beyond your pain.

You might have a lot going on in life that looks “fine” from the outside. A job. People around you. Things that suggest you’re doing okay. And still, there can be this quiet feeling of being on your own with it all. Not fully able to say it. Not wanting to burden anyone. So you keep going, as most people do, while something inside feels a bit heavy, a bit distant, and a bit alone. It can be exhausting carrying so much without feeling truly seen or understood.

We all need extra support from time to time. For some people they have difficult or distressing thoughts and emotions, a stuck feeling may have developed over a period of time, or maybe a significant life experience may prompt the need to talk in therapy.

We are often taught that some feelings are "good" and others are "bad," but really, every emotion is just trying to tell us something. When we carry old pain, it is common to swing between two extremes. Sometimes we numb out and shut down until we feel stuck. Other times the pain becomes so loud and the urges so strong that they feel impossible to control. Both are just ways you’ve learned to cope with things that were too much to handle alone. In our sessions, we can slow down to face these feelings without being forced to act on them. This lets the struggle settle so you can finally feel more steady.

Therapy can help us to manage our lives and our relationships better, it can lead to more fulfilling relationships and a renewed sense of aliveness. Learning how to manage symptoms such as overthinking, insomnia, anxiety, depression, lack of energy, or an enduring sense of helplessness and despair, can lead to renewed energy and a greater sense of freedom in our lives. In my sessions I often use teaching, in order to help make sense of and understand why you might be feeling the way you do and to help you learn ways to make changes in order to better manage those feelings.

I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted. I work holistically, seeing you as a whole person rather than a set of symptoms, with respect for your emotional, physical, relational and spiritual experiences. Together, we can gently explore the challenges that brought you to therapy and the patterns that affect the way you relate to yourself and those around you, including the parts of you that have felt silenced, shamed, or carried alone.
