I am ADHD and dyslexic myself as well as having a complete neurodivergent family, so I can guarantee as well as a large, hyper focused amount of training in this area, which I am always adding too, I have lived experience of some of the twist and turns you may be navigating.
I provide a safe, supportive and tranquil space either face to face in my summer house at the bottom of the garden or online, where I bring my authentic, compassionate self as I believe this is the basis of any therapeutic relationship.

Working through the ADHD assessment will free you up of those negative feelings and thoughts others have made you believe about yourself
A warm welcome. What's bothering you might seem small on the outside but can actually be very big on the inside thus impairing you from enjoying and living your best life everyday. You can't change the past but you can change the influence that the past is having on you.  I will offer you a safe, private and peaceful space to talk about the difficulties you are facing, to reflect on past experiences that may have left you anxious or depressed, and to work alongside you in making the changes that you feel you need. I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP

When you're seeking therapy you are likely already traveling a difficult journey. I hope to be able to come along side you and be finding some new skills and fine tuning some existing ones, start to make the journey easier and shift the direction to one that is more meaningful and rewarding. It's important to consider all that makes up you, including neurodiversity, LGBTQ+, ethnicity, etc, to shape therapy so that it the best fit it can be for you. So whether this is for Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, OCD or however you define your difficulty, I hope to make therapy the best fit it can be for you.

I have completed additional training in supporting adults with ADHD, as this has been increasingly prevalent in my practice.
Hi, I'm Louise, Integrative Therapist MBACP (level 6) based in Dartford. Do you find yourself lying in bed awake at night worrying, re-running conversations you've had that day? Have you found yourself cancelling or turning down plans with friends as you'd rather be at home, but find that doesn't ease your anxiety or mood? Sometimes in life we all may find ourselves needing help or someone to talk to. Struggling with relationships, the past, the future? I aim to reply to all enquiries within 48 hours. I believe everyone deserves an hour a week to focus on themselves.

I have particular experience in supporting children, young people and adults with neuro-diverse, such as those with ADHD or ASC.
You're unique, and your counselling should be too! That's where integrative counselling comes in. I can tailor our sessions to what works best for you. Some days, you might need a listening ear. Other times, you might benefit from more structured techniques such as CBT, TA, solution-focused therapy, or a more creative form of therapy.

For over twenty years, I have supported individuals navigating deep and often overwhelming psychological distress. Many emotional and relational difficulties develop within the context of relationships and lived experience, shaping how we understand ourselves, relate to others and engage with the world. If your emotions feel overwhelming, relationships feel unstable, or past trauma keeps showing up in the present, this is often a response to what you have lived through. My work is grounded in the belief that these difficulties are understandable responses to experience, rather than inherent flaws.

Hello, I'm Penny. I am an accredited BAPT Play Therapist based in Sevenoaks. I somehow (!) have over 15 years of experience working with children and families, often during the most vulnerable times in their lives. Before training as a Play Therapist, I worked as a Social Worker — a job I adored. However, I often wished I had more opportunities to truly sit alongside the children I supported and be part of their healing journeys. That’s exactly what I believe play therapy offers. Play therapy isn’t something you do — it’s a way of being. I wholeheartedly believe in its power and the positive impact it can have on all children.

I am here to support clients who are experiencing challenging emotions and situations, such as anxiety disorders, depression, bereavement, or feeling trapped in repetitive relationship patterns. Our attachment styles are formed from a young age, and as we grow older, we may find ourselves stuck in these same patterns. I have helped clients confront their attachment fears that affect their personal relationships. Additionally, I have worked with individuals who struggle with self-harm and suicidal thoughts, supporting them as they navigate their feelings of emptiness.

I have worked within fostering and adoption, Couple and family Counselling, Bereavement and Youth Counselling. My experience comes from having worked within a variety of family and child settings, a counselling service for young people, a hospice as a bereavement counsellor, and supporting couples in their relationships. I work with families who foster and the secondary trauma that they can also experience. Although I have been trained in the psychodynamic approach, I work using other models to best suit and help individuals explore and become aware of blocks in their lives, working towards making changes.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
