I work with children, young people , and adults who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of who they are. Many are navigating relationships, parenting challenges, or exploring neurodivergence such as autism or ADHD. Together, we create a safe, collaborative space to understand what’s going on beneath the surface, process emotions, and build confidence, resilience, and meaningful change. We go at a pace that feels safe, with support that is tailored to each individual.

I am a Clinical Psychologist offering psychological therapy in natural settings, alongside traditional indoor sessions. Life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or struggling to cope. Our experiences, relationships, health needs, and ways of coping can shape how we feel about ourselves and others and influence the choices we make. I believe a compassionate, trusting, and carefully challenging therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change, and I aim to offer a safe and supportive space to explore difficulties, develop greater self understanding, and move towards a healthier and more fulfilling life.

I can support you to calm your nervous system, understand what is going on and find healthy ways to cope. Maybe you feel depressed, different or not good enough. I will work with you to find meaning in your life, to understand yourself better and put the past to rest.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or held back by low self-esteem, feeling misunderstood, you are not alone. I work with adults (18+) who want to understand themselves more deeply, heal, and grow into a more, grounded version of themselves. Clients often come to see me with a sense of feeling overwhelmed, worried, they might struggle with focus, overthinking, sleeping patterns, relationships and want to explore this in relation to their Autism and/or ADHD.  Some clients come not knowing the reasons for their struggles and through the sessions we can explore what might be going on underneath the surface.

I integrate talk therapy with somatic (body-based) work to help you move beyond patterns, regulate your nervous system, and safely process emotions.
I work with highly sensitive, self-aware people who often feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. Many understand their patterns and can explain why they feel the way they do—but still find themselves overthinking, people-pleasing, or caught in emotional highs and lows they can’t seem to shift. You might feel like you’re “too much” or not coping as well as others, while quietly holding everything together on the outside. Together, we move beyond just talking—helping you safely reconnect with what’s happening in your body, so those patterns can begin to shift in a real, lasting way.

I support individuals (16yo+) who have experienced sexual trauma, including harassment, assault, and abuse, at any stage of life. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach, meaning we move at your pace, prioritising safety, choice, and empowerment throughout the process. I also specialise in working with clients living with chronic illness or persistent health conditions linked to trauma. Many survivors experience ongoing physical symptoms such as fatigue, chronic pain, digestive issues, or autoimmune conditions. These can be deeply connected to the body’s response to prolonged stress and trauma.

Somatic Counsellors
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
