How many minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or years have you spent wanting to change the way you live your life? How many different methods have you tried to silence your inner critic ? But failed because self doubt, guilt, anger, shame, procrastination or fear has kept you psychologically paralysed? How many times have you told yourself that you are going to stop your self destructive behaviour, only to find yourself embroiled in the same self defeating habits the next day, week or month? Do you see yourself ebbing further and further away from your life goals, dreams and ambitions?

I also provide specialist support for people struggling with problematic AI chatbot use, including companion relationships, compulsive use, and AI-spirals that disconnect their reality (i.e. AI-associated delusions & psychosis).
The first step is an assessment of your current problems and their impact, which may include a diagnosis, and a formulation to understand them. In therapy we work together to overcome these problems and move towards your goals, whether that’s feeling safer, happier, calmer, more in control, less driven by the past, or doing more of what’s important to you.

I also have deep interest in working with people who have experienced psychosis, and related illnesses.
I work integratively, my training was in existential psychotherapy. This means I believe that life is naturally going to present struggles and that we need to navigate our way through life's givens: loneliness, anxiety and death are all givens of our life. I believe that the goal of therapy is to create space to reflect and align oneself with one's values and understand our limitations. I believe that trauma has a lasting impact on our bodies and minds, and that through understanding the mind-body connection, healing can ultimately take place. I currently hold a post working in GP practices with the NHS.

Sometimes we reach a point in life where we struggle to see clearly and we even become uncertain about the future and even begin to question our relationships. For some of us, its unhealthy patterns and cycles that we keep on repeating, and find difficult to break free from. Our unresolved childhood trauma's can present in our day to day adult lives, showing up as strong depressive feelings, overwhelming anxiety, or a fragmented sense of self, leaving us feeling trapped and hopeless. Whatever the issues are that you are facing, change is certainly possible!

I specialize in Depression, Anxiety, Relational Difficulties, Psychosis and Bipolar Disorders.
Hi I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I work with adults and young persons experiencing anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions and work place stress. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in unhelpful thought patterns, overwhelmed by emotions, or frustrated by behaviors they want to change. CBT is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. In our work together, we will identify patterns that are keeping you stuck and develop tools to help you respond differently—both in and outside of sessions.

It can be hard to live in our own heads. Worries, fears, sadness and feelings of inadequacy can make it feel like we are swimming against the tide. Our psychological difficulties may have been with us for a long time or may have started more recently. Whatever our mental health concerns, psychological therapy is an opportunity to change our relationship with our minds: a place to learn the skills to cope better with what life may throw at us, and a chance to find the inner resources that we all have, to allow us to move towards living a more fulfilling life.

My ideal client is one of complexity; I plan on to enrol onto a Doctorate becoming a counselling psychologist. I am a qualified counsellor and my knowledge base started 15 years ago when I fell ill. I have had an eventful life, including heart problems, strokes and many other issues. Through therapies, self help and determination I am happy with my life and I would love to share my knowledge. I have specialised in complex bereavement over the past 6 years seeing clients face to face and supporting them through the hard times. There is a need for more LGBT counsellors that understand and help.

Psychosis Counsellors
What’s the most effective treatment for psychosis?
The most effective treatment for psychosis is coordinated specialty care. In this model, a team of professionals works with a patient to address all aspects of the underlying disorder. This approach incorporates individual or group therapy, employment and education support, family support and education, medication management (which often involves low doses of antipsychotics), and case management to facilitate problem-solving as needed.

When should people seek treatment for psychosis?
People should seek immediate treatment at the earliest indication of psychosis. Symptoms include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized or blocked speech, and agitated body movements. Early signs that a person may be developing a disorder that will lead to psychosis include suspiciousness of others, memory problems and distractibility, an inability to think clearly, rapid or nonsensical speech, withdrawal from friends or family, aggression toward others, and sensitivity to bright lights or noises.

What if psychosis is left untreated?
Without treatment, psychosis can have significant repercussions, including injuries, job loss, homelessness, financial or legal trouble, ruptured relationships, and suffering for the person and their family. While early treatment for psychosis often yields the best results, there is no point past which it becomes useless to seek treatment. At any point, treatment can make a difference.

How do I get someone else to seek treatment for psychosis?
It’s extremely difficult to watch a loved one suffer from hallucinations, delusions, and other elements of psychosis—sometimes exacerbated by their fears of treatment. Have a conversation with them in a quiet space and maintain a calm, supportive tone. Share your concerns about behaviors you’ve observed, suggest treatment, and explain the potential benefits. Listen carefully to their responses. The person may not be ready after one conversation, but with time, they may come around.
